I thought "No Explanation Necessary" could break 4000 views by the time it reached one year old. I was wrong. It already did.
So holy shit, a LOT of you like random bullshit involving the funny green man. It has more views than all my other stories combined. It has more votes than all my other stories combined. It's the elephant in the room, and compared to all the "effort" I put into it, it is by far my most popular fic.
So here I am, staring at my monitor in my basement, and pondering if I should follow the formula to popularity, or follow my heart, and continue producing duds like my latest story.
And you know what? Screw the feature box, I'll continue writing what I truly like. I made it already with a normal story too, so I know it's possible, it's just not the easy way. And the only thing more satisfying than getting featured is getting featured with a story that one can be proud of.
With that said, things are chugging along. This isn't over yet. I haven't nearly told everything I wanted. And I intend to do so.
