To Where and Back again Parts One and Two

This is the Season Six Finale, and I have to admit this was really good as it did a fantastic job wrapping up the season's main plot points very well and gave us more world-building with the Changelings. I mainly liked how it was centered around Starlight Glimmer, as most of the episodes focused on her dealing with her past and making amends, and this was the ultimate challenge for her not to

    Thoughts on Top Bolt

This is another episode I felt like abit out of place, but I did enjoy watching it as I relate to Vapor Trail a lot. The idea of this episode is mainly centered around two ponies: a shy, somewhat nervous mare named Vapor Trail and a stallion Pegasus, who is rather full of himself named Sky Stinger. The two usually work as a team as new cadets training to be a part of the Wonderbolt Academy, but

Thoughts on Where the Apple Lies

This episode is one that I would not expect to be in season six, but it was one of my favorite episodes in the season, given how it gives us some backstory to the Apples, which I honestly enjoy when an episode focuses on the Apple family. The episode is basiclly a fable to teach Apple Bloom about telling lies and how Applejack got herself into a heap of trouble lying to Filthy Rich about selling

    Thoughts on P.P.O.V

This episode was odd but good, as it felt like the first time we saw actual conflict between the mane six in a while. I felt like this maybe would work in earlier seasons, but seeing the Mane Six still have conflict with each other despite being friends for a few years now shows they still have issues with each other, and it makes their relationship feel more natural. So basiclly, Pinkie Pie,

Thoughts on IDW comic Omnibus Ponyville Mysteries · 9:36pm Oct 12th, 2022

This is an Omnibus that I picked up, which goes over the CMC and them solving mysteries all over Ponyville.

This isn't the first MLP comic I've read, but I've read a few of them now, and I have to say this isn't great. It was fun to read but compared to others, it wasn't that interesting. But it wasn't bad, as the comics were fun to read.

The first story is about the CMC trying to find out who is stealing the fabrics and bandages from Ponyville General to help Nurse Redheart. Turns out it was a bunch of birds.

In the second mystery, they discover that Snips was stealing bowling pins to help his granddad because he was scared that somepony would beat his record. (which was honestly pretty wholesome)

In the third mystery, the CMC solves the mystery that somepony almost burned down the Retirement home, making sum'yums (a form of smores made of prickly pears, chocolate, and vanilla wafers).

In the fourth mystery, they find out Flim and Flam were draining the Spa's spring, and they tried to frame the Apples.

In the final mystery, this has to be the best, with the CMC having to solve a theft of Abyssinia Albatros, a treasure that belongs to Songbird Serenade (aka Sia). The little fillies figure out that it is Songbird's assistant Onyx. But then it was revealed that the real thief was Jagged Clamp (I assume Onyx's boyfriend or something), who was tricked by Onyx, who tried to steal the statue for herself. Also, it was revealed that the figures were fake and worthless as a gift to Songbird Serenade from her Great Grandmother, who won it at a carnival.

Overall it was fun to see the CMC getting into hijinks, but the stories felt weak and poorly thought out. Mystery is hard to write; I'll give the writers that. But it just felt as most of the stories weren't given much thought outside of the CMC stumbling on the answers half the time. I think they should've focused on the Blowing Pin mystery and the Songbird Serenade one, as those two were the best IMO.
