When you eat toast, but complain that the bread is crunchy · 6:52am Oct 6th, 2022
Me, critiquing somebody's recipe for grilled chicken:
Might want to re do some of this recipe, about 80% of it is like a someone trying really hard to unnecessarily complicate certain parts by adding ingredients multiple times with different sauces and it made it spicy for example the constant stirring and frying and the large amount of rice served with it for no particular reason. I'm eating the food but might wanna look into it.
Anyone who looks at my favorites will see Estee's stories there fairly regularly.
Occasionally I'll see a comment from somebody about how themes are repeated, emphasized, or dwelled upon and to me it seems like they're complaining about what defines the content.
Obviously, not every reader likes the same style of writing, but that's the fault of neither the reader nor the author.
Complaining about how the toast is crunchy on the other hand, and recommending they... untoast it... that's entirely on the person complaining.
(Okay, obviously the toast metaphor isn't the best, but neither am I.)
