It has finally begun.
For our first day of chills, let us take a dive into the first thing associated with the holiday: flowers and chocolates!
I am of course referring to My Bloody Valentine. 
The film was shot at Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia because of its rustic atmospheric appearance. However, when the locals heard an actual movie was being filmed there, they spent around $50,000 to tidy and fix up the place.
Which was NOT what the crew wanted.
Director George Mihalka stated that $75,000 of the film's budget was used to put things back the way they were.

Damn, that's a bit sad actually. Imagine being the dude who took the money out of pocket to make sure the movie looks great, only to have the film crew undo all your work. Hope the film crew at least managed to have some fun interactions with the locals.
Ha, but why the frick did it cost more to dirty the place back up than to clean it?
I kwon this film, the one of the maniac in mining gear. A remake was made in 2009.

Does this "series" delve into classic horror? Late 40's early 60's? I'll look anyway but I'm just curious.

This movie does sound scary. I still have a deep fear for watching horror movies, I cannot watch horror unless it’s combined with comedy. I’m sorry, it sounds like a great, interesting movie to watch. But, the plot and storyline sounds terrifying?

Eh, I thought it was okay. Only watched it once earlier in the year.
Check out Zombieland or the Scream films, I'm sure you'd appreciate them.

I apologize, I do not have time to watch horror movies. But when I do, I may check out your recommendation or may not. I cannot really guarantee you since my schedule every week is ‘work’.
