Quick question: does anyone actually want regular updates? Or do you not care and just want the new stories/chapters?
Anyway, here is what's up. This blog is MOSTLY for my Furaffinity (FA) readers, but I don't want to write a separate blog just for my Fimfiction (Fim) readers. Waste of time and I'm lazy. Should still be a bit relevant to you Fim, but not as much.
I've spent the last few days fixing thumbnails and updating the source files for a number of my old stories on FA. Long story short: for years the site had a problem that you could not update written submissions. So if you wanted to update your stories (correct embarrassing grammar mistakes) you had to make an entirely new submission. Obviously annoying for your audience. So my FA readers have been stuck with the first or second editions of a lot of my work for years. However, not long ago I discovered that FA finally made it possible to update written submissions.
So that's what I dedicated this week to doing.
I went through and edited much of my old work and submitted the latest editions! Now you don't have to download and read pdf files. Now you can read the convenient txt files that display right in your browser and you get the versions of my work with the least stupid mistakes! Yay!!
That goes for you Fim readers too! You've also got some updated versions. Though maybe I should clarify that the updates are nothing more significant than a grammar fix here and rewording an awkward sentence there. Maybe this doesn't sound like a big deal to anyone else, but I have a thing about this stuff. Now is the best time to check out some of my old work if you've never read it before.
Especially "Micro Anon x a Mare" and "Horny Nightmare". Damn, I forgot how long and good those were. Also, I could have sworn "Micro Dreams Do Come True" was... better than it really is. I did not allow myself to rework any of these old stories, but I was really tempted after rereading that one. Maybe some day I'll try a micro human and Celestia story again and not completely fail at the erotica. You know, the whole point of the story.
But now for the bad news. There are two stories left and one of them is going to be a bit of a problem.
1. The Victorious, the Gentle, and the Tiny
A little over 8,000 words of pure erotica, it will probably take me a day or two to do it. Not a big deal. Just decided to table that job for now. There are other things that need doing more.
2. The Erotic Life of the Smallest Changeling
For new watchers on FA, you probably have no idea how significant this one is. It's more than 50,000 words long and the first story I ever published publicly. I took it down from FA back when the inability to update written submissions destroyed the originals (part of the bug meant that if you tried to update the submission, the file would simply become undownloadable) and I never resubmitted them. I was waiting for FA to fix the bug. Now I don't want to repost this story until I've at least had a chance to go over the story again and correct any formatting issues, but that will take forever and I've got other new stories to write. And personally, I look back on ELotSC with mixed feelings. It was my first work and... I just think it sucks. It's a badly written story. I've sometimes entertained the idea of trying to rewrite it, but of course never have. So it's honestly a very low priority for me to fix it and republish it on FA. Unless someone really liked that story and desperately wants me to clean up the original or do a major rewrite, for now I'm not even going to bother reposting it to FA.

Next, there are still two stories who need their thumbnails fixed on FA, though that will be real quick. I plan to do that when I upload the next chapter for each.

So the plan going forward:
1. Get Under "Her" Skirt done. And I mean DONE. There is about 2 or 3 chapters left and I just want to bunker down and finish it.
2. The Cheerilee story which is already about 1/3 written anyway.
3. Edit The Victorious, the Gentle, and the Tiny
4. Profit

Wow I haven't read The Erotic Life of the Smallest Changeling in some time.
It is hands down one of my favorite works from you. No matter how long it takes, it would be great to see a refurbished version of that story.
