    Words of reassurance

A friend of mine told me that I'll find much better people to chat with, things will get better, people who are genuine will be there for me, and I don't deserve such mistreatment. I'll keep their reassuring words in mind as I heal and move forward.

Addressing this for one last time

Been keeping to myself what I truly feel for several months. Now, it's time to finally let it go. *takes deep breaths* Okay, here it goes...

I raise my middle fingers to the people who made my Discord experience unpleasant this year. And to an extent, ruining my experience in the Balan and NiGHTS fandom.

See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya, Paycheck!

This is certainly a win for the animation industry. I honestly don't know if Iger would fix the 2-year mess, but at least Paycheck is no longer involved.

    If only...

If only I have the time, motivation, and determination to create an NSFW-only Discord server dedicated to Balan Wonderthirst and NiGHTS Into Wet Dreams, then maybe, just maybe, I wouldn't feel discouraged anymore about someone forbidding me from interacting with NSFW fans.

All the more reasons to hate Bob Paycheck (Also, no thanks to Disney+)

I watched the news about Bob Paycheck's awful remarks about animation. I'm disgusted but not surprised at all that he's one of the people who have the "animation is for kids" mindset.

The Little Mermaid teaser trailer left everyone unimpressed · 10:57am September 13th

With the help of the Return YouTube Dislike extension, it currently has a total of 1.4 million dislikes. Talk about a big oof!

I don't believe in remakes. You can make a follow up to a film, but to remake a movie with such history and success just doesn't make sense to me.

-Christopher Lee.

Although Lee is actually talking about the remake of The Wicker Man here, I think the sentiment fits. Seriously Disney, just stop remaking your entire animated catalogue!

Some of the complaints that I read about the trailer is that everything looks dark. There are no underwater effects such as bubbles and blue hue.

Unsurprisingly, people make a big deal about a mermaid being portrayed by a black actress. A mermaid is a mermaid, regardless of the colour of their skin.

While I'm not interested anymore to watch live-action cashgrab remakes, considering the mixed to negative reception of recent ones such as Dumbo, Aladdin, The Lion King, Mulan, and Pinocchio, I honestly feel so sorry for Halle Bailey and the unnecessary hate that she's getting, simply for her role as Ariel. I hope that all of the hate doesn't discourage her completely.

Couldn't they at least have kept her hair red? Why are redheads being erased from media? Oh well, never planned to watch this anyway. I don't see the point of live action versions, which exist solely for cash grabs.

Some people pointed out that Halle's hair is a darker shade of red. Though it's hard to see because of the underwater background that's way too dark.

Ah, I see! Couldn't make it out at a glance, wonder if they'll brighten the film for the finished product?

Same here. It honestly boggles the mind that people seem to struggle with the idea of a mermaid being Black. Getting back to the point, I just don't see the point of this remake. Cinderella (2015) kinda works because that's a new adaptation of the same source material, not just a shot-for-shot remake of an animated film (Beauty and the Beast, Alladin, The Lion King, etc.).

Well, the underwater world is naturally quite dark. Hence why angler fish carry their own lights with them.
