THE PERCY JACKSON SERIES TRAILER IS OUT!!!!! · 11:54am Sep 11th, 2022
I mean, it's only a teaser trailer not more than a minute long, but STILL!
I don't know about you guys, but I am a HUGE PJO fan, along with everything else that Rick Riordan has written, and a lot of the Rick Riordan Presents books. And the movies were AWFUL, so seeing this much better adaptation, with the author of the series actually INVOLVED in making it, I have much higher hopes!
My thoughts? First, Leah Jeffries as Annabeth is AMAZING. We only see her for, like, two seconds, but I can totally see her as the part. I was a bit worried at first, because she doesn't have blonde hair like Annabeth does in the books. Which may not seem like a huge deal, except that, in The Mark of Athena, Annabeth confesses that she's always wanted darker hair because she feels that no one takes her seriously as a blonde. I feel that adds a lot to her character, but I think that Jeffries will be an AMAZING Annabeth, blonde hair or no. Secondly, Camp Half-Blood looks like it stepped right out of the books. I love the cabins, all the detail and the individuality. You don't have to know Ancient Greek to know what each one represents, which I think is especially important in this series. You can't trust that everyone who watches will be a Greek Mythology fantic, but you do want them to be able to feel just as involved in the storyline, and enjoy it just as much as the previous fans of the book series.
I don't have much else to say, other than I am SUPER excited about this series! Here's hoping that it releases next year, instead of 2024. I'll leave the trailer here if anyone wants to watch it...
