I'll be honest, that wasn't what I was expecting. I was working on a story and trying to come up with a name for a pony character who is very manly and tough and "Chad" came to mind. But then I was like, "wait, does that mean what I think it means?" So I decided to do a really quick dictionary check and then came the confusion and the cross-checking. Every additional source made me question my own sanity even more. Like, I could have sworn Chad was supposed to mean something like being cool or tough. Manly. Not... a piece of scrap paper after using a hole punch. How did that happen?
Now all I can think about is using the name Chad as a total subversion. Spend a ton of time building up to the introduction of this scary pony named simply "Chad", then the reveal is some arts and crafts colt who just wants to borrow your glue stick.
