    I'm Done With Self-Insert Clop

I know I've said this before and ultimately changed my mind but this time, it is legit. While I was at BABSCon, something just happened. My pony name at every con I go to is StormLuna and I constantly have my concerns that somepony is going to bring it up. It isn't just that though, it isn't me anymore and I'm going to be honest here. I look back and realize that the only reason I wrote those

After many years of hesitation, I finally decided to get a tattoo today....a tattoo of my favorite pony's cutie mark.

    RIP My Brackets

Well all my men's NCAA brackets were broken yesterday and my women's brackets died today. Anyway, go Hawkeyes on the women's side and Duke on the men's side.

    Super Bowl Picks

For those of you who are into football, who do you think will win and what do you think the score will be.

Naturally I'm picking the 49ers to win....I think the final score will be 31-28. Yes I'm picking a score that will likely stress a lot of Niners' Nation out but I see a close game.

I'm Back · 3:05am Aug 30th, 2022

Well I just got back from Everfree and I must say that I had a blast up there. I went to multiple different panels, some of which will hopefully help me out when it comes to writing villains. I also met a plush maker who has been a friend of mine for quite sometime. Then another strange thing happened, I posted a picture of myself along with my three new plushies in a FB group of mine and a woman commented on it. As it turns out, she was at the convention so we met up and became friends. I certainly didn't expect that to happen.

I was also able to get the autographs of Jenna Warren (Sunny Starscout), Ana Sani (Izzy Moonbow) and Maryke Hendrikse (Gilda and Sonata Dusk). I was also able to get some plushies!!!!of course what convention would be complete without hitting the vendor hall and getting plushies?....and yes I got the blanket there too. I also got multiple buttons for a dollar a piece, a hat with Izzy's CM on it, a mouse pad with Princess Pipp on it and I wound up getting a Pipp coaster for free! I also got a couple key chains, one of Izzy and one of Sunny. Basically I had a blast....yeah eating was quite costly but it was all worth it in the end.

I also went to the Space Needle too because what trip to Seattle is complete without that? Yeah I skipped the closing ceremonies for it but hey, I skipped the opening ceremony to hit the vendor hall so I could get those plushies before anypony else could!

So how’s your trip to the convention?

It was amazing. I got some autographs, I attended several amazing panels, I bought some merch, and more than just plushies. I feel kinda empty being back home....not having any fellow MLP fans to talk with but one thing about being home though, eating will be much cheaper.

Well you got me and the other bronies in FiM fiction.

Also I hope you avoid those anti-bronies who love to pick on them verbally. Or worse.

5682788

I know, it is just nice to have people to talk to face to face with....and luckily, there weren't any anti-bronies up there.

Hi buddy! Wow, that felt fast - you're back already! Also, wow, talk about the perfect time for me to check fimfiction right before going to bed! Were any MLP VA's (voice actors) there?

How was it?

5682798

Yes, I listed them in the post. They were all really nice. It was because of who was there that I decided to go. Now I probably won't be going to a con next year because my family and I are making plans for Canada next year, maybe in 2024 I can go to another con.

It was great. That along with going to the Space Needle made it a spectacular trip.

Aw how sweet, and I'm glad that you got to go this year if you won't get to go next year, cool!
Aw, the plushies are so cute and fluffy!

5700062

The plushies are very cute but I don't cuddle with them or any other of my commissioned/con bought plushies. They are for display purposes only....when you spend $ 200+ for them, Izzy was over $ 600, you don't want to risk getting them dirty.

5700125
Ah, and OOOF. I understand that; though I find it sad when collectors' items cannot be used for their original/intended purpose due to them being collectors' items or really expensive. DANG, you have bits to burn. XD I'm glad you could get such high-quality plushies, though!

5700307

I know some people who do cuddle with their expensive plushies and not mind if they get dirty but hell, I don't even cuddle with the cheap Funrise plushies. For me, all plushies are for display purposes only....then again I've never been into cuddling with plushies to start with....although the person I commission a lot of my plushies through clearly states that they are NOT toys and are more meant to be displayed.

5700332
Oh, OK, that makes sense. To each his own :), even if the plushies ended up being made soft and cuddly, haha. And man, I've never heard of plushies being categorized as "not toys" but instead, as JUST character pin-ups/displays. Interesting. Well, I hope you enjoy them!

5700381

Well when you pay $ 600+ for a plushie, it isn't a toy. It is a collector's item and some may even see them as an investment.

5700391
I understand that, but I don't quite get the investment one. My best guess is that that means that there is a huge market for quality plushes and collectors will pay even higher prices for them if you were to sell yours? Am I understanding that correctly?

5700396

Well I have no plans on selling mine. I plan on being buried with them actually.....they say you can't take things with you when you die but that isn't true. Some people may pay big bucks for a plushie that is being resold but I have no plans on reselling them....I'm simply stating that some people may see them that way.

5700403
Ah, OK. And at least you will be buried with the memories of the plushies, so they existed at some point. XD

5700424

My mom was buried with her Flurry Heart plushie I commissioned for her....she LOVED Flurry Heart....so I shall take mine with me to the grave too. It won't just be memories, they will literally be placed in my casket with me....well as many of them that will fit....I have quite a few commissioned and con bought plushies.

5700452
Aw...I didn't know you could do that! Cool, and I'm sorry your mom passed. Yeah, take 'em with you! XD Aw.

5700460

Thanks, my mom is in a better place now and to be honest, the thoughts of someone else getting their hands on my plushies and maybe ruining them is something I do not like. If they stay with me that won't happen.

5700465
Yeah, that's understandable. I understand people doing the same by taking their money with them rather than giving it to their mean, undeserving children.

5700545

I've never heard of people taking their money with them. Personally if I were in that kind of situation I'd put it in my will that all my money went to a cat sanctuary but then again I don't have any kids either.

5700653
Ah, OK. Well, enjoy your plushies being yours with no one to get their grubby hands on 'em. XD And it's usually a burial fund that could be left, and it is not common - there is the possibility of being buried with your money/gold in America, and other cultures, as well as countries in the past, can have that option as well; ancient Egypt's tombs still hold the wealth of the rich and important and is technically still theirs despite the explorers that hunt for ancient Eygpt's wealth. That's one way to keep it safe (excluding natural disasters and illegal grave robbers.) Also, people can hide money in their valuables or in their caskets and use their will to get their money out of their kids' hands, like giving to charity. The option of being buried with many personal items, or money is mostly for the rich (and can be a selfish option in terms of the second one,) but interesting none the less.
