I Won a Contest I Didn't Even Submit For

Back in July, I submitted a minific for Loganberry's Monthly Minific contest. It wasn't a big story, just a simple little tale about Pinkie Pie trolling Mud Briar on a social networking site. It got a couple of upvotes, but didn't win the contest, so I moved on to other writing projects and forgot about it for a while.

Today, however, I got a notification from Mockingbirb that I had won his Opinionated Flashfic Award for the month. There was no prize other than recognition, but it was nice seeing MB's feedback and seeing that somebody noticed my writing. Maybe I'll create a story on this site where I can hold every minific I've done over the years, and maybe even expand the minific itself to something bigger. There's certainly a strong idea there for a longer fic, and I had enough fun writing the minific that it could be fun revisiting it.
