Belated celebration: Darkest Hour passes 1000 overall views! · 12:09am Dec 13th, 2012
Hello there once again! Welcome to the perfectly irregular TIM show!
It is time for a celebration! Very localised, specific and even hardly significant in comparison to some, but a celebration nonetheless. A few days ago, during a scheduled checking of how Darkest Hour was doing view-wise, I noticed something I've been looking forward to ever since the viewcount passed 800 over all chapters. The story has gone past 1000 views! Of course, it is considering viewings across all 11 chapters, and the most-viewed one now has only 170, but for me it is still something to celebrate.
In fact, this is precisely the number I was hoping it would reach. Now that it did, I can rest a little bit easier, if only because that tiny inner goal-setting habit that can be quite irksome at times has been satisfied. All further growth of the amount of those who read it would be good to see and very welcome, but at least that bar has been reached.
Also, I thought to myself that I'll get back to actively trying to write instead of lounging around when it reaches 1000, and now it did. Coincidentally, I'm all out of games I wanted to play, so writing will be the best option of how to spend free time now! And it's about time, too, as the workload I've been grumbling about has finally receded and I should be good enough to write now.
Anyway, without much further ado, have some Apple family cider courtesy of Pinkie Pie, as well as a song fitting the occasion: short and sweet and light and cheerful! It's not a Pinkie Pie one, however; in fact, this is a 'remix' of Sweetie Belle's 'song' from Sleepless in Ponyville, courtesy of DJ MBAlpha. Enjoy!
This is TIM, signing off for now. Cheers!
Congrats! It's always a nice feeling when you know others have read and enjoyed your work.
Good luck with your future stories!
I'm glad you're glad. NOW WRITE.
Write everything!
604366 , 606550 Thank you!
Indeed, it's for others to read my stories that I write them. The reason of their existence is to be read. If I didn't want to share them, I would have kept them to my head like I used to before pony.
As a side note, they took emoticons/smileyfaces out of the blog post editor! dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/sillyfilly_Twilight_Sparkle.png Now I have to type them in, which can be annoying. And they're still present in the comment editor. I have no idea why did they have to be removed in the first place. dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/misc_TwilightWut.png Oh well.
Here is my belated congratulations! I see there is also a new comment voting feature
