I'm coming back.
You read that right. I'm slowly coming back to writing after a long hiatus. It's been far too long, something to the tune of almost ten years now. Two years after I stopped writing, I started taking riding lessons and working with actual horses. It's given me a lot of self-confidence in most areas of my life, but it also made me realize that I had a lot of shortcomings when it came to writing horsewords. A lot of you know from my earlier days on the site that I was obsessed with popularity, and now that's something that I could give two fucks about. I need to complete or at the very least move my "Golden Goose" forward for not only myself, but mostly for those of you who are eagerly awaiting the next turn of the page.
Honestly, I'm not sure how many of you will actually read this as I'm sure many have moved on and lost hope, but to those who do, I thank you for the support and kindness you've shown me in the past. Also, if you get the chance to work with horses, do it. You won't be disappointed. Seriously.

Man you're one of the O.Gs from long ago, of course I'd be thrilled to see a writer return after some writers decided to pull the plug on some of their accounts. It's such a shame to see some pieces of what I loved before ripped away, but I gotta respect the authors' decision. Though I'm honestly looking forward to your return!

Yes, I'm one of the ones from the bygone era when Fimfiction was in its infancy. I didn't abandon my account, but I did my story and all the ideas I had at the time. It was a really rough time for me, wanting to be a good writer even though I knew absolutely nothing about it, coupled with the fact of what I viewed as a popularity contest. A certain writer I thought to be pretentious was actually a really good guy, and a fellow veteran. He just had a knack for being able to craft a good story.
I'm no Nobel laureate, but I write from my experience and dreams. Wilted Flower is how I would see myself reacting to being in a strange land with my favorite pony. Having an actual horse who is a high-class diva like Fleur will help me with progressing the story, that's for sure!

That makes me happy and cringe at the same time. The story as it is now was written at a time when certain themes and clichés were all the rage. Notwithstanding, the story will still continue with the same characters, but with a slightly different tone based on how I've changed personally over the years. Having a real-life horse has helped me in spades.
It's been almost a full year since this post and nothing has happened since then.
