Here's a little taste of what's gonna happen in the next chapter
Twilight heads on over to the balcony and looks over the town of Canterlot with confusion, sadness, and homesickness. Even though Twilight knows she was raised here she can still tell that this isn’t where she belongs and where she was born. And she wasn’t sure if even Ponyville was her home.
Then she felt a hoof on her shoulder, “Hey, you okay?” said a familiar voice. Twilight perked up and turned to see an amber unicorn, with sea-green eyes, a fiery mane and tail, wearing a faux-leather jacket and most of all a yellow and red cutie mark, giving her a concerned smile.
“Sunset!” Twilight yelled with some joy as they hugged each other. Seeing Sunset, the one pony Twilight felt was the closest thing she had to a sister other than Cadance, was a great relief.
“What? How? Where? Why?” Twilight tried to ask, but the confusion and joy of seeing the unicorn prevented her from doing so.
Sunset laughed and raised a hoof, “Have I got the story to tell you,” She then went on to explain how she and her friends back at Canterlot had just graduated and she had finally decided to come home to Equestria and see Celestia.
She explained that her friends had all gotten scholarships to a collage in Harmonia City which surprised Twilight realizing that of course there would be another version of her birth home in the human world and possible human versions of her birth parents, ‘which means the other me will be in for a shock when she gets there’ Twilight thought to herself, as Sunset went on. “Anyways while I was packing to go home, I was sitting by the fireplace when I heard this voice in my head, he called himself Inferno,”
Twilight’s ears perked up at that name, “Inferno? You mean the Alicorn of Fire?”
“Who was said to burn down a whole army with one slash of his horn? Yeah him,” Sunset answered, “Anyway he told me that it was vitally that I return to Equestria to stop a great darkness rising up here. I was a little hesitant but the girls managed to convince me to come, so here I am.”
Twilight smiled, “Well I’m glad your here,” The two shared a sisterly hug and when they broke Sunset asked Twilight, “So what are we up against?”
“Follow me, I’ll tell you on the way,” Twilight sighed as she began walking to the door, “Besides I owe somepony an apology.”
Sunset had a strong feeling who Twilight was talking about and trotted next, “Take it from me, apologizing to a princess is like ripping off a bandage: Not fun and easier if you do it quickly.” Twilight smiled in thanks as they kept walking.
