To backlog or not to backlog? · 8:06am Jun 28th, 2022
Me: Alright, not gonna buy anything during this year's Steam Summer Sale. I've got enough of a backlog. Maybe I'll clear some of that out in between bouts of writing, since I'm taking a break from SWTOR.
Brain: Hey, remember last November when Skyrim Anniversary came out, and you said you were going to wait around six months for all the most popular mods to be updated for it? Well, guess how long it's been?
Me: *sigh* Goodbye, summer...
I'm in a similar boat... I have a big LIST of games to play, and what do I keep playing?
Minecraft.... working through the realm that my wife and I started, and building a theme park on the realm our friends share... but but but I really want to play more Horizon, or Far Cry 6, or Stardew Valley Expanded Mod, or any of the other 25 games that I've picked up over the past month!!
I just got to finish my villager trading hall and iron fam combo, then I can play other things, but I need to automate my wheat farm, and I need blaze rods, and...... the cycle continues!
My backlog isn't crazy, but I've been gold strawberry hunting in Celeste, so I'm a little worried. I've been stuck on the Summit B-Side one for months. Probably at 2,400+ deaths by now and still counting.
Ah Steam, the slayer of summers
After waiting for years to play X-com 2 all I do is just sit at the computer and...do nothing.
I just open the game and...I donĀ“t have the mental energy to strategize...maybe give Far Cry 6 a try, if it is cheap enough ?
Still waiting for Mass Effect Legendary to lay down a little...
Stuff like that is why I don't buy a lot of new media anymore, I have a bad habit of buying a lot of stuff I never use.
