Back in February, I asked the admin if I could get access to the NSFW channel of a certain Discord server. They asked me to send them screenshots of my Twitter account and other accounts where I have NSFW content.
After doing so, they said that I cannot be granted access because of the "graphic nature of my fanfictions" and the staff will conduct an investigation for my context. I haven't heard from them ever since.
Yesterday, I asked them for updates and they said that the staff will look into my fanfiction again to see if I "change my ways" with the material.
My fanfictions are clearly NSFW and I honestly felt frustrated and upset that they’re telling me that I’m not allowed to enter a NSFW channel because of my NSFW fanfictions. It sounds confusing and hypocritical to me.
First and foremost, writing is my form of expression. I write for myself and it’s not my goal to please everyone. Secondly, I worked hard on writing my NSFW fanfictions that have romance and sex as the main components, so no, I will not change my ways to abide by the admin's unfair standards. I’d rather keep my integrity intact instead of becoming a sellout.
I already joined different NSFW servers that are better, friendlier, more open, more accepting, and more welcoming in hopes that I would connect with like-minded people and open up about things without shame and judgment.
I'm anticipating the same response from that particular admin, saying that they will not give me access because of the same reason. For my peace of mind, I'm not going to request anymore and I will leave that server at a later time.
I wouldn't want to be part of something like that anyhow. I'm sure they've said and done things people would consider questionable, as no one's perfect.

I just want to share an update. I left that server as I got tired of waiting. I had a feeling that the admin would say the same reason for not allowing me access to the NSFW channel, so I'm not going to even try and I don't want to be treated unfairly ever again.
