The week has been exhausting.

So I go into work Wednesday and find out that the other Dishwasher (who's been great, and will be referred to as A) quit Tuesday night. That night, nobody, not even his best friend (E) knew why he quit. Apparently he said that he didn't have issues with anybody and thanked the bosses for the opportunity. Everyone's confused. Additionally, Wednesday was crazy busy for some reason.

-Thursday: Find out from E that he quit because the kitchen was too hot. Kinda ironic that he couldn't stand the heat, so he got out of the kitchen. Thursday was decent work-wise.

-Friday: Find out from Kitchen-Scheduling Boss (KSB) that we're gonna have somebody come in to train on Saturday. I am very excited, as Friday was insane.

-Saturday: Wanted to go into work early to get things cleaned up and ready so there wouldn't be a ton to do when the new guy gets in, and so I could properly show him where everything is. I get in and... everything (sans silverware) is great, empty sink. I also find out that the guy (who had previously stated that he was coming in Saturday) decided that he didn't want to work that night. So, no new guy and we'll move onto someone else. Thankfully, Saturday wasn't as busy, which was weird. I let Head Boss and KSB know that they can call me if Sunday is crazy, they can call me and I can come in and help. Thankfully one of our Pasta girls is coming back from vacation, so she should be able to cover dishes.

-Sunday: Sunday, I'm not feeling all that great. Generally stressed and feeling blah, and hoping that I won't get called. 4:10, KSB calls, Head Boss wants me to come in at 5. I wait like 15-20 minutes and go in. Because if it's bad, I'm not going to leave it. Turns out that they were trying to have only one person on Pasta and one on Dishes. So I get in, kick her off the Dishes and Solo almost the entire night. (KSB pops in to grab some food and runs some dishes) At the end of the night, the Pasta people actually decided to stay and help. "Why would I leave when I'm still getting paid to help run?" Bless them. Also, we're getting another new guy in next/this week. Should come in and help Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I am relieved.

-Monday: Exhausted. Spend the day trying to chill. In the evening we order Indian food and watch Bridge of Spies. Was an okay day, if not very restful.

-Today: On my way to the post office, dropping off a package for my brother, from mom. KSB calls. Am terrified that I will have to work tonight. No. Schedule changing. No added hours. Turns out, the guy we were planning on getting, got a job he wanted more. So, for the next couple weeks, I'll be working Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. So I'll have one day off rest before the long weekend.

I hope we get somebody else soon. Two things I have to remember. "I'm getting paid" and "Eternal Job Security."
