"What happened in here?" Celestia asked as she looked over the half inch of water that evenly coated the floor of her personal chambers.
"Daddy's fixing the leak in the bathroom sink," Apollo replied from atop his perch on the bed. "But it doesn't like him, so it's spitting at him. A lot."
"I see. Is he still in there?"
"Yeah," Apollo said as Celestia's magic hoisted him on to her back.
"Bean?" Celestia waded over to the door and nudged it open. Though the sink wasn't spewing like a fire hose at that exact moment, the water dripping from the ceiling, walls, and fixtures was evidence enough of what had happened. "What's going on?"
"The shutoff valve is in a horrible place, for one thing." Bean shimmied out from under the sink, and huffed, his mane and coat matted down with untold gallons of water in them. "And I thought you were going to keep a lookout for you mom, Pollie."
"Oh yeah! DAD! MOM'S BACK!" Apollo bellowed.
"Thanks, buddy." Bean huffed again. "I've fixed dozens of leaking facuets back at the Zuerst. I don't know what went wrong this time."
"I take it that dripping noise drove you to this?" Celestia asked, her magic flaring out and scooping the newly formed lake into a large sphere in the bedroom.
"Yes. I couldn't sleep with that constant drip... drip... drip..."
"I'll summon the plumbers immediately. In the meantime, we should get you dried off." Celestia moved with Bean into the bedroom, glanced at the large sphere of water, and then casually teleported it away. Half a second later, a large, distant splash was followed by Luna's shriek of alarm.
"CELESTIA! THOU ARE GOING TO SUFFER SEVERELY FOR THINE STUNT! I was almost asleep, too..."

Huh I wonder if this series took to the ending of MLP as canon were Celestia retires. I wonder what a normal life would be like for her, bean and Apollo?

Little Apollo clopped his hooves together in excitement as his auntie Luna levitated a wonderfully large box down in front of him. His cute-ceañera was so awesome so far! There were presents, and cake, and friends, and presents, and games for all his friends and him to play. Genny, the big pullet from Griffonstone, brought some honeyed griffonscones and Mateo, the Mexicotl ambassador's colt, even brought a Tirek piñata.
All three of them flapped their wings excitedly as they pounced on the big box like an earth pony on a pumpkin. Little hooves and talons tore into the wrapping paper, sending bits and pieces flying up. The box was quickly eviscerated and peeled open with grim efficiency to reveal...
To reveal—
"OH WOW! OFFICER FRIENDLY AND HIS PROTECTIVE PONY PATROL PLATOON SET! THANK YOU AUNTIE LUNA!"
"¡Look! ¡Look!", Mateo pointed excitedly with his hoof at a big colourful inset on the box, "¡It even has his patrol chariot with light and sound effects!"
Genny turned her head to the side and peered at a blurb on the side of the box. "Huh. It says here you can put Officer Friendly and all his friends together for a big song'n'dance. Cool!"
The trio quickly assembled the set and soon the figures sprang to magical life amidst a shower of flashing lights and thaumic effects as they danced in synchronicity to the most migraine inducing earworm to ever grace Equestria's airwaves. Officer Friendly's velvet tenor voice did lend it a bit of gravitas, but...
But, Celestia was familiar with her protégée's friends. She did not think that Pinkie used that many cymbals or timpani drums in the original Smile Song. Or bagpipes for that matter. She cocked an eyebrow at Luna who was all but rubbing her hooves together with glee.
"Oh yes! We do hope you enjoy our gift dear Apollo. We took the liberty to enchant the toys with repair and recall spells. No matter what happens, your toys will be restored to this very room within the hour, even if they become 'lost' or 'broken'. I even", Luna pulled out a little box of copper banded thaumic batteries from under her wing with a flourish, "took the liberty of supplying Officer Friendly and friends with a quantity of cuprate mana accumulators."
Luna turned to look at Bean and Celestia. "The songs shall last forever!"
