My Rant on Twilight Sparkle (Observation)

Wow, even TV Tropes is contradicting their own tropes and seriously overlooking things.

Friendship is Failure #20: A Hearths Warming I'll never forget.

I created that fanfic for two specific reasons...

1: Most of all, I could finally wail on Twilight Sparkle the way Quagmire wailed on Brian; voicing why I loathe her so much so I can make her upset... and crush her Hearths Warming Spirit.

2: To kill Moondancer for making amends with Twilight on AMENDING FENCES. I was hoping she would continue to refuse and therefore Twilight would lose and be upset... but as usual, what can you expect from MLP... she failed me... and the penalty is crystal clear.

The suspect was found guilty of letting go, and getting her life back on track (Murder in the first degree) and was sentenced to Death.
Execution was carried out December 24, 2020.

Now then, let's Debunk the tropers... YET AGAIN (Ugh!!)

"Reason You Suck" Speech: Tries to give one to Twilight and her friends, however it's only just an copied and edited version of Quagmire's speech to Brian with baseless lies, complete exaggerations or false accusations added in.

No, they aren't as inaccurate as you think...

During her "Reason You Suck" Speech she accuses Twilight of being a control freak and forcing her opinions down other pony's throats, and claiming that they "can’t stand it when other creatures don’t share their views and prefer to do things their own ways"... ignoring the fact that she basically tried to control her own daughter's life, forced HER views down Moondancer's throat by claiming she wasn't allowed to befriend Twilight, and disowning her when her daughter disobeyed her.

Well in the first place, Twilight really IS a control freak. She even HAS a "Control Freak" Trope

Control Freak: Though not obnoxious, per se, her over attention to detail and occasional annoyance with her friends leads her to be insistent on her own direction of things. She also has nagging tendencies, something Spike knows all too well.

That's Twilight to a tee! It doesn't matter if she's obnoxious or not, a Control Freak is still a Control Freak, and often very relentless, especially on AMENDING FENCES when she wouldn't leave Moondancer alone.

In my absolute view of Twilight, She can't take "No" for an answer, and she refuses to back down until her subject relents and agrees to change to HER specifications. Almost like a nattering mother to a son... (She will never rest until he son gets married and settles down)

Some people just don't like Friendship-- they don't want it or need it regardless of what benefits it may bring.

She accuses the characters of being ignorant due to them never having gone through many hardships in their lives, ignoring several points when they faced major threats to Equestria and nearly lost everything.

NEARLY... is the keyword, as in... THEY DIDN'T LOSE. Therefore: It doesn't count. you have to ACTUALLY LOSE to understand hardship.

In the end, it's always Happy Ever After. Twilight has no scars and burns that will never heal... No Traumatizing events that keep her awake at nights or make her lose her spirits... she... does not know... TRUE HARDSHIP. (Not if all her problems go away and get resolved so easily)Not even the MLP Movie was good enough, because it didn't make the cut.

She accuses Twilight pushing her nose into situations that are none of her business, however two of the things she called Twilight out for is lying to Celestia about her terrible acting and banning the CMC from her school, the events of which were not only resolved before any major damage was done, but were also none of Luna Light's business.

Okay, this is a bit out of proportion...

As already shown, Twilight is relentless: She sees someone who may have a friendship problem and she makes it her business to CHANGE said pony (To her specifications and for her OWN benefits)

...She's basically butting in where she's not wanted, which is bad enough.

She claims she is trying to help said pony and improve their lives, when really she's just worried that the more they continue to disregard friendship, the more it will spread and others will follow, which will lead to friendship dying and war rising, not to mention put her reputation as Princess of Friendship at risk.

In other words, "Who are you really doing this for, Twilight... Myself... or You?"

Even if she is trying to improve the subjects life and give them better benefits, doesn't she bother think that...

"We have a very different idea of BETTER and IMPROVEMENT"

and also, did she not consider (As was discussed up there) that maybe the subject DOES NOT WANT said benefits, nor LIKES THEM, and is trying to KEEP THEM AWAY?!!

To put it simply, how some ponies act and what they do in their private lives is NONE OF HER BUSINESS nor CONCERN (Not even as Princess of Friendship or Ruler of Equestria)

-I do not want to give Friendship a chance...
-I don't want to make amends...
- I don't want have benefits that I can't stand...
-And I don't like your way of thinking!

As for Celestia's bad acting and banning the CMCS. Maybe they weren't directly Luna Light's business, but word gets around... and besides... that's just the problem...

Many of us (Myself included) feel that the issues WERE resolved too quickly... WE WANTED major damage done, and we WANTED to see Twilight to suffer for it instead of being forgiven too easily.

Like in this story...

Forgiveness Denied

Instead of forgiving Twilight for misjudging the CMC and banning them; the girls really let her have it. They balk in her face, call her a hypocrite, and someone who only cares about maintaining her own image. Then they slam the doors, leaving Twilight tearfully crushed.

...I LOVE IT!!!

"We all make mistakes"

"Nobody's perfect"

Those sayings aren't going to cut it this time... Those are mistakes Twilight had no right to make, not even on impulse (She should never have made them at all)

Insane Troll Logic: Accuses Twilight and her friends of the big heroes of facing "a bunch of weak and insufferable bad guys that anyone could have overcome" when denouncing them as heroes of Equestria, ignoring the fact that most villains such as Nightmare Moon, Discord, Queen Chrysalis, King Sombra, and Tirek all could have easily killed her or any civilian, really making one wonder if she suffers from Suicidal Overconfidence.

That's basically on me...

I have a very low opinion of the all the MLP villains period-- they are weak, worthless, and not very scary to me. Given the fact they only last... what... 2 eps (A few hours in the show time itself) I feel the only reason Twilight beat them is because they are wimpier than she is, and that anyone could beat them without magic.

-Use a mirror or reflective surface to bounce the bad guy's magic right back at them (Make them destroy themselves)

-Discord: Show him that you're not afraid, and that you embrace what he's doing... and all his power WHOOF goes in smoke.

...Like that.

So, they are not as baseless. Twilight gets off the hook too easy, and she has no scars and burns to show for it. That's why I'm here, to give her a good strike of reality...

...She can't win them all over.

Now that's an improvement to me... the ponies finally being crushed and upset.
