Twilight Sparkle Improving Lives? (Friendship is Failure)

    People sure love to complain...

She always tries her best to get through to those with friendship problems and help them improve their lives, no matter how much they reject and act hostile towards her.

She gets disrespected a lot because she wants to help people, even though she's a princess who's saved Equestria on multiple occasions.

    Sentencing Characters (Dragnet Style)

As you know (Or some of you at least) The Writer is the one in charge. The Writer is the master. The Writer... is... God (Of the world the write anyway)

What will it Change? (Trying means Nothing!)

In relation to my previous blog, https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/1035717/i-have-to-or-you-just-want-me-to which relates to "Are you doing it for ME or YOURSELF?"

People still get up my back saying I need to "Get Help" "Change my groove" or, and the most often said "Fix your writing-- make it better/different"

I HAVE to, or you just WANT me to?

People often go about saying... "You HAVE to move on." "You HAVE to let go." "You HAVE to Improve" "You HAVE to this" "You HAVE to that."

But here's the real deal to consider. Do I really HAVE to, or do you just WANT me to? That's the ideal.

The Show is over (Means nothing)

A lot of people have been getting up my back lately, all yakking at me the same thing.

The show ended (This many) years ago. Why are you still making stories if they no longer have purpose?

Idiots... that's not how it works.

Starfleet/Equertsia... The Laws · 9:51pm Jun 12th, 2022

A couple of problems I constantly seem to run into with my haters and detractors, is they never take the time to consider "The Law" (The Legality of things)

Sometimes they even yak on Starfleet saying they are being unlawful and unjust and "Sentence characters to death or prison for life"

The first thing that needs to be understood (Though my haters, they' deliberately overlook things)

We're talking about "The Law"

Not Starfleet's laws, not the crowned-head's laws... but "The People's Law"

Equestria, just like any modern society; the people (the civilians) they vote and they decide on what laws should be enforce, and whatever they decide, the guards, or the police officers have obligation to serve.

I'm fairly sure that Equestria had its own criminal laws, and it's own legal system, long before Starfleet came along, and it's possible that both systems were highly similar.

Break the Law-- You answer for it.

Starfleet have their own rules, regulations and stuff; but as law enforcement officers (As the police) they enforce the law. So if you break the law, and they arrest you... What happens to you then is up for the courts to decide; not them.

Sgt Joe Friday: "If you break the law, you must stand trial. Then it's up to you peers (Your jury) to judge your crime, it's their 12 consciences against yours."

Starfleet are not your Judge or Jury...

They only time they are allowed to be so is when something happens within the force (If an officer has committed a crime, or a traitor has risen)

Then Lightning and Starla, and the other officers can act on their own rules and charge code.

Since Lightning is Supreme Allied Commander...

Lightning: "Starfleet Code: Section 27, Paragraph 14, Sub-clause 4: You are liable to sentencing by my hand for acts of willful damage to Starfleet property (Five years in prison)"

All Military handle their own personal cases in their own way, but as was stated... the people's law is different. The law is determined by the voters, just like in real life...

The government draws up rules; and they ask for the people to vote whether or not to pass said laws. And as always in any democracy... Majority Rules.

So when Starfleet and Equestria merge together. Laws were pretty much still the same, and new laws drawn up by Starfleet were still voted on, and the Majority said "Yes" That's it.

Whatever civilian laws that come up are a matter for "The People" to decide, and Starfleet "works for the people" Whatever they decide, they'll enforce.

So if you get arrested and dragged off the court, and you get sentenced... remember, it's not Starfleet that did this... it's YOU. (You broke the law, now you have to answer for it)

As for sentencing, well it all depends on your crime...

-Windy Bag... she committed enough felonies (especially attempted homicide) to put her away for 200 years. You can't demand she get a lighter sentence because you like the way she badmouths Starfleet, and she also cannot be labeled as "Well-Intentioned- Extremist" She is a Criminal, and a murderer... she has no good intentions; she's just an insane, homicidal maniac. There's nothing good about her.

As for recently arrested Sole Maker (From Season 11) He was charged with Child Neglect, and attempted Murder. He's looking at 5 to 15 years!

And yes, I have to bring up Principal Celestia and Lightning Dawn again (People's heads are thicker than I thought)

Yes, Lightning did burst into Celestia's office and gave her a well-deserved, and justifiable talking to for her seriously bad behavior and unjust decisions.

Yes, things got heated up when Lightning started to insult her about her dead horse, and how she should be glad he's not alive.

...At that point, Celestia finally snaps and throws the first physical punch at him. Now it doesn't matter how much you think Lightning deserves to be punched, and it also doesn't matter if you want him to be punched simply because you don't like him...

...In the view of the Law... Celestia has no right whatsoever to do such a thing. Even if the cops were agree maybe they guy deserved it, they would still tell you "It doesn't matter" SHE threw the first punch, SHE instigated the fight, therefore... SHE is the aggressor, and SHE is charged for it.

If Lightning had thrown the first physical punch, then HE would be charged because HE started the fight physically (Not verbally)

No matter how verbally insulting or bullying someone is... YOU... DO NOT... HIT THEM!!

You only strike someone in self-defense (or occasionally saving someone else from being attacked)

If Lightning attempted to hit Celestia first, or he grabbed her inappropriately without consent... THEN she has every right to punch down, or break a chair over him... to get him to stop what he's doing. But that's as far as you go. She cannot tackle him to the ground and continue to beat him until his bruised and bloody... according to the law... that's being excessive (Using too much brute force) and therefore shifts you as being the agressor (The assaulter) and you can be charged for it.

You CAN however try to goad someone in hitting you...

Example:

An abusive dad is being rude to a cop who in his bar seat. The insults start flying... the Dad makes the first move and punches the cop (Which the cop intended for) Because now the cop IS allowed to hit back, or even sue the guy.

You can goad someone into hitting you, because they legally are not allowed to throw the first punch no matter what you say to them.

Lightning wasn't trying to goad Celestia into attacking him. He was just scolding her and talking down to her for her horrible attitude. Even if he was trying to goad her into hitting... she still would have no legal right to attack him, but she did anyway.

Lightning throwing the coffee in her face and scalding her was done in self-defense; to make her stop and get her off of him. (He didn't dare punch her in the face, because with his strength he would kill her)

That is why Lightning was not charged by the police. True, he walked into Celestia's office, but it's barely an offense, seeing as all he did was talk down to her. (A simple case for the school to decide on their own rules) But Celestia not only violated rules of conduct at work, she broke the law. so she was charged.

She was bailed out of jail by Celesto and put on Probation, and was properly dismissed from her job.

The bottom line is, you have to stop thinking about "personal spite" and contrasting it with "The Law" You may want to hit someone... beware of the consequences.
