Hello every pony! I'd like to welcome you to the very first Pineapple on Pizza Cafe! The title was suggested to me by DaOtterguy so please go thank him for this awesome title. I've been wanting to do more on Fimfiction in supporting other authors that I feel deserve more love and attention. So these blogs will release every week, usually on Tuesday. I'm a day late because I've been busy taking care of my fiancé and working my tail off. Anyways, Today we will be featuring LGBT+ authors that deserve more views, and need more love. Being bisexual myself, I can relate to this community and it's struggles. So, please if you have the time, check these out.

Summary: While Flash Sentry waits for Rarity to work on his outfit for a performance, Pinkie Pie asks to put makeup on him.

My thoughts: According to the author this was an experimental fic, but honestly there's quite a bit here to talk about. First of all, pronouns. For a lot of us, we used to be used to the more common pronouns of she/her, he/him, and they/them. But there's so much more to pronouns than that. I won't get into a lengthy discussion here, but feel free to Google it, or find a friend that knows about pronouns.

This story is about Flash Sentry wanting a skirt for a performance. Of course, because Flash is a guy, most skirts don't fit him, so they have to make a custom one, which isn't a problem for Rarity who can make magic out of anything. The plot is very simple, and very easy to follow. It was a nice little read. I enjoyed that Flash was using both he and she pronouns.

This story was written in September 25th, 2021and I do believe this story has suffered from not being appricated for what it is. It is a good story about Flash being embarrassed/nervous about his unique problems with skirts, and having someone like Rarity be there to assure Flash that everything will be okay is a nice little message, that I believe Rarity would do. It's just in these days, a lot of times there are people who click on stories just to downvote because of a theme. And I'm here to tell you the truth. This is a good story. Sure, it was an experimental piece, but there's a lot in here you can learn if you are simply willing to give it a chance.

My thoughts: This is a cute little fluff story about Spike and his little secret. There were a lot of moments throughout the story where I was smiling to myself at how charming it was. It's a pretty much slice of life story with a little extra fluff near the end. I enjoyed seeing Rarity and Twilight as support to Spike. I also could relate to Spike and his secret, for we all have things we might not think our friends would understand, but a true friend would never judge you, and support you however they could. This is also a NON-binary Spike, which is an interesting thing to see. Don't let those dislikes fool you. This is a charming little slice of life with some pineapple on top.

Summary: After a strange breakup, Feather Bangs meets Flash Sentry under unusual circumstances.

My thoughts: Okay, this pick is partly biased since it was written for me, but this story deserves way more attention than it got. This story is about Feather bangs. A character in the show, I honestly disliked, but this story got me thinking more about him, and how he could have been written. This shows a very laid back Feather bangs who isn't so absorbed with making ponies love him, and just being himself. It's really a nice story about just a normal conservation in an odd place that leads to a date with a cute boy. That cute boy being Flash Sentry, and the connection between the two both having former relationships in order to get the conservation going, felt easy going, and soon the two were getting quite chatty, and interested in the other. It's a nice little story with not much drama besides the former relationship stuff, but I can forgive that for a great setup getting these two together.

Summary: Everypony has their own beginnings and endings. It is ever so rare to find somepony whose life is parallel to yours, each phase beginning and ending in unison.

Rare, that is, but not impossible. Especially when you lend each other a helping hoof.

My thoughts: This was a sweet, and simple slice of life, with romance about two stallions meeting and one falling for the other without even noticing it. It starts off simple enough. Soarin works at a cafe and is serving Sunburst his "usual" choice of drink. The plot is simple and effective, but the at ease feel of this, just makes you want to sit back, unwind and have a tea. Mushroompone may be a more well known author, but this story hasn't gotten the love it deserves.

This is the end of my 1st blog, but except these to come out every week. I'll do my best to have each reccs day feature something unique, but everything here will be stories that I feel need more love/attention so something like Rekindled Embers won't be feature on this list. (Forgive me Applezombi, for using your story as a example.)
