No, fimfic's has a bot problem for years now. The moderators delete the bot accounts in batches.

You obviously haven't spent enough time scrolling through the New Users pages. I dare you to go there, and keep a tally of how many bots you report in a time limit of your choice. Honestly, the amount of bots on this site is crazy. I've been joking around for a while now that a whole ton of users should band together and just report as many bots as possible in one day to see what happens. Obviously, we'd give all of the site staff some warning in advance so they wouldn't be too overwhelmed, lol.
