Twitter/Mastodon · 4:48am Apr 26th, 2022
It actually occurred to me when writing this that some of you might not even know I have a Twitter. I do! It's @BelleSweetAI .
Of course, now Elon Musk is purchasing Twitter, which makes me a little leery of it. I'm keeping my twitter account, unless things get particularly bad, but I decided to sign up for Mastodon as well, and since there are lots of different instances, I went for the equestria one.
So my Mastodon account is @SweetAIBelle@equestria.social .
Don't know how active I'll be over there. Probably mostly depends on who else is over there...

I've 95% given up on Twitter, but that happened before the latest news. I'm just a naturally long-winded person, so modern social media isn't a great fit. I'm keeping my Twitter account, as it's useful for things like cons, but I've gone old school and started using Dreamwidth (account name loganberrybunny) for everyday stuff. It's like LiveJournal before the Russian takeovers.
I've only ever met like two or three people who actually use Mastodon, and that's even considering that most my friends are weird commies, so I'm not sure what your experience will be like there, but best of luck!

It actually has a lot of people posting introduction posts right now. A whole bunch of people are flooding in from Twitter. Who knows if they'll stay, but it's interesting so far!

My trouble is that while I'm long winded, I don't really have the time to write long posts most of the time. Mastodon does give you 500 characters, which is an improvement over Twitter, too. (In fact, I think some instances give you more. One funky thing about it is that you join one instance, and they talk to each other, so you almost have a local community, then the wider community...)
I probably should pick up a Dreamwidth account. I've got a feeling I wouldn't actually be posting on it, though.
OTOH, I just got this new keyboard that's really nice to type on...

Still probably not posting on it, but I made an account(sweetaibelle, predicably) and added you to my reading circle.

So I see! Hello!
