I've Been Busy (Just Not With Horse Words)

I'm not dead!

Not yet, anyway. I haven't published any horse words in what, five months? Sorry about that. I've been doing a good deal of writing off-site, though it's basically all nonfiction. I also got a job, which is basically full-time. Between that and writing two to three articles a week, I don't have as much time as I used to. Which, looking at it a certain way, at least this gives me a much stronger excuse than, "I don't feel like writing horse today."

I will write horse again, though... eventually. Thinking about a couple novella-length projects I could start, one being a dark sci-fi/horror alternate universe deal and the other more in line with sword and sorcery. I wanna write something more action-oriented, since I've basically never done that before. Reading some Fritz Leiber and Robert E. Howard has made me think that not all fantasy writing is boring (just most of it, in accordance with Sturgeon's Law), not to mention I READ MY FIRST BRANDON SANDERSON NOVEL SINCE MY LAST BLOG. Well, novella. The Emperor's Soul is pretty tight.

Generally I've been warming up to fantasy writing, slowly but surely. Keep in mind that I've been Team Science Fiction my whole life, and while I still very much prefer SF over fantasy, I'm now more open to taking advantage of MLP's high fantasy setting. Let's see how this turns out.
