New StarBurst group! · 9:48pm Apr 12th, 2022
About a week ago, I noticed that the original StarBurst group was deleted, or as deleted as something on Fimfic can be. Now the link to the group is just there, hovering annoyingly, can't interact with the group, can't get out or in. This is what it must feel like to be stuck in limbo.
This is quite the breakdown since it had over 400 members before closing, it was THE starburst group for many years, who knows how many stories were lost, how many members would sit there, wondering where the group went and where the heck they will promote their stories. Sure, they're other groups, but they're small and one doesn't allow NSFW content. We probably won't see that many members in one group for this ship ever again, not with G4 over and G5 moving in.
It's sad to see this group disappear after so many years. Goodbye, Starburst(Starlight X sun burst!) group, you will be missed.
With that said...
THIS WAS THE SIGN I WAS WAITING FOR, TIME TO OPEN MY OWN STARBURST GROUP
I spent like, two days preparing it, collecting as many stories I could find, I'm sure some slipped through the cracks, but I'm tired. I had many grievances with the original group (mainly the lack of relevant folders, the misspelling in one of the folders, the lack of a banner, etc) many that which I addressed and corrected in this new group.
I won't delude myself into thinking that it will make the same numbers as the original (heck, if it even makes to 100 members I would see that as a major accomplishment) it just feels really nice to have a new, organized group for this ship. And going through the site and clicking stories to place them in the right folders was its own rush of serotonin, I even discovered a couple of fics that wouldn't have qualified in the original group, but in this one, they had the perfect folder.
So yeah, if this interests you, please join?
So why does it have the word "trashbin" in the title?

Just a little nudge at those critical of the ship/shipping in general. Shipping is just good, trashy fun, might as well own up to it.
