Welcome to my attempt at a community fic! At the time of this posting, our pegasus guards in question have only two tagged stories. Let's change that.
Who?
Zoom Zephyrwing and her trusty patsy, Thunder, of course!
What?
A community fic is a story where every chapter is written by a different author. Chapters are written by their creators and then sent to the story’s publisher (me) to add as a chapter with proper accreditation.
This collab will be an anthology, which means we’ll be disregarding internal consistency between chapters entirely because the goal is to create a fun and thematic series of oneshots, not a perfectly linear story.
When/Where?
Anytime in G5 as we understand it so far. You are not constrained to writing during the events of the movie. Anytime before or after the film is also acceptable.
If you meant deadlines, we don’t have any. Chapters get published when they get created and sent to me and the story has no submission cut off date. No order or setup, or dependency on others to finish their submission first. It's easier for everyone.
How?
With no shortage of horse words!
Rules:
1: Entries must be at least 500 words, and should not exceed 5000 words. They must be rated E for Everyone.
2: Your story must contain both Zoom and Thunder in some way. You can write in First Person POV from one or both of their perspectives, or you can write in Third Person POV with Zoom and/or Thunder playing a considerable role in the story. They do not need to have equal amounts of dialogue or narrative focus as long as they’re both in the story somewhere.
3: Your story must contain Zipp, Pipp, and/or Queen Haven in some way. This is the B to your A. Who do you want Zoom/Thunder to be interacting with? What will your story be about? Will Pipp saddle Thunder with being her shopping spree bag jockey? Will Haven—fearing that Zipp will blow herself up if left unsupervised—demand that Zoom look after Zipp while she tinkers and does science things? Will Zoom question why being a jock/nerd hybrid makes Zipp best G5 pony? Our pegasi have functional wings now so the sky is the limit.
4: Your story should be Slice of Life and/or Comedy. This story is supposedly a diary created by Zoom about her and Thunder’s daily lives as guard pegasi looking after the royal family, and how lively, funny, or chaotic that can sometimes be. Be creative, but don’t kick off any grand storylines.
If you would like to write about Zoom and/or Thunder interacting with Zipp/Pipp/Haven while off duty, this is also fine. This story is as much about Zoom and Thunder’s potential relationship with the royal family as it is a story about pegasi in helmets doing guard things, and I will not let one aspect stop another if there’s a story to be told there.
5: I will publish each chapter with a date format based on the submission date, and include your pen name in parentheses. When submitting your story, just include the title you want. I’ll add the dates to avoid timezone confusion.

6: Being an anthology, there is no direct consistency between chapters. Ergo, please refrain from directly referencing or continuing a plot line from a past chapter.
7: Multiple entries by the same author are acceptable, just not in a row. This is mostly a rule to cover myself, as I plan on contributing more than once to this story over time, but if anyone else feels so inspired they're of course welcome as well.

Lastly, I would greatly appreciate anybody who's willing to spread the word of this story via their own blogs. Even if you don't plan to participate yourself, somebody who follows you might.
