    I will return to G5

    Hey, guys. Mr. J here.

Just so you're aware, I am planning to return to MLP G5: both watching Tell Your Tale and Make Your Mark. Now, I don't remember if I ever told you all about this, but I did inform some of y'all that I've given up hope for G5 because the episodes I watched around that time (two years ago) were so forgettable and boring.

My reaction to the whole Will Smith slapping Chris Rock drama... · 9:43pm Mar 30th, 2022

Personally, I think the whole thing with Will Smith and Chris Rock was nothing more than a publicity stunt.

Regardless of how realistic Smith's slap appeared to be and if Rock's joke was in any way offensive, everything about this recent event seems like it was cooked up by the Film Awards committee to draw attention to itself as a way of garnering more ratings and press notice than it got in recent years.

Sorry but that’s just bullshit.

If that was a “publicity stunt”, then Will Smith would not have made an apology in public, or have multiple celebrities and fans alike condemn him for what he did or have the local police department be involved which Chris Rock declined to make a police report for. That was 100% real, and you will not convince me otherwise.

🤷🏻‍♂️Well, we all have our viewpoints and opinions.

Same for me :rainbowlaugh:

But in all seriousness, what´s your opinion about it?

5647536
Both men are in the wrong. Will Smith especially.

5647540
Yeah, that´s my opinion too. Will´s reaction was definitely not ok but Chris´ joke about alopecia wasn´t either. Will needs psychological help, he clearly is not ok. And Chris too, I´ve been reading about his bullying trauma, hopes this doesn´t open old wounds.

Indeed. To be quite blunt, Chris Rock’s joke was rather unfunny and in poor taste. Secondly, if he knew that the joke would rub Jada Pinkett Smith the wrong way and how sensitive she is about her condition, he should have never made fun of it in the first place. Yes, comedy is subjective, but not everything is a laughing matter.

5647546
Definitely. Hair loss is very traumatic for a woman.

It’s funny that I first thought that this was a publicity stunt. After all that’s happened, especially after seeing the uncensored version of the video showcasing the event, I know now that it was all real.

The good news is that Smith took the time to apologize to Rock and the Awards committee following backlash from the public and fellow entertainers, which definitely takes a load off my shoulders.

Glad you understand it clearly now. 👍🏼

5647546
That’s what I’ve been thinking too. Regardless of whether Rock was only joking, he too is at fault for the incident as much as Smith was. It’s times like these where you have to be careful with what you joke about instead of simply saying what’s on your mind.

5647978
EXACTLY! Both guys are in the wrong including Chris Rock. Not everything is a laughing matter especially when it comes to someone who is justifiably sensitive over a disease. Besides, his joke was unfunny and in poor taste to begin with.

5647981
I agree with you on that. Heck, I certainly didn’t find the joke to be funny nor did I laugh.

And as a result.... we gotten another meme in the process because of it. XD
