escapism vs fimfictions bs

I come here to escape not be met with what I'm trying to ecape from!

ie. crimes wars heinousness etc

love stories between adults are fine but I don't actively go looking for it
the fact I have to ask the author "hey do your stories contain rape or other bulshit" is frustrating I come to fanfiction to escape our rotting world I don't need to stumble upon the same things I want to escape from while reading a story of adventure.

when reading a story there are things that pull me out of the fantasy I'm enjoying and back into this horde world full of crime and other bulshit called earth the word demon is entirely human and is one of the things that pull me out of a world that is supposed to be completely separate from ours sure Celestia is often depicted as pantheon but even that is stretching it.

Is anyone else angry about things that ruin a story they were enjoying up until a chapter yanks them from the reality there viewing /imagining?

I really don't mind it.

But it does raise the question, are you looking for genuine answers or answers that you just want to hear?

I'll admit, escapism is important, but it's just as important to not get to sucked in. We need to face darkness in order to find the light. And that's from any perspective.

You can't tell authors how or what to write because that's an upfront to the first amendment and the basic right of freedom of expression. I have read one fic with religion in it.

It's a short fic and might be worth a read to you, it isn't preach or anything in my eyes.

I know how important escapism is to a person, but they shouldn't escape too much and lose their grip with reality because then things will never get better.

You can't tell authors how or what to write: true but no I'm wanting to not run into stories blindly that have things not stated in their description. like how shark-infested waters made that one story on a ditch account(an account that's made to dump a story and never logged onto again) where sweetie bell and rarity are essential used as playthings for lewded Celestia...

it would be nice if the rating system was better if we had r ratings all I'd need to do is click hide{r} I mean even e rated stories have bs in them
