10 Years of My Little Pony Blog Post Pt.1

So... 10 years on Fimfiction. Normally, this should celebrate something and I will. By the weekened I should have a couple of stories on here, new and updating.
Now, don't expect a full rant about... how everything thing about this site was fantastic and the people and all that. WHILE I DO APPERCIATE EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE HERE, I will instead talk about what the time meant for me here and the future.

First of, my introduction of MLP FIM. I would be the first to say that my intro was not... a choice so to speak. I was at college at the time and I was taking psychology courses. We had to chose a show that represented a choice of emotion and I couldn't remember what else.
At the time, this show was slowly becoming popluar, late 2011, early 2012, and I picked it up because of all the fan made and music videos popping up on youtube. I couldn't remember who it was, but the very first youtube music video on MLP was a remix of the mane song and a highligh of the last two season. At first, I regretted this choice, not because it was ponies but... I didn't like remixes or rap songs(Still don't to this day)
However, the main reason for chosing this show was because my older sister used to watch the G1 on tv and I would watch it with her. (It was the only cartoons we could see and we only had one tv)
I remember the colorful rainbows of ponies, the songs and cheesy dialogue. The most memeorable voice being Sandy Duncan. When regular violet cartoons would come up, I would forget about the show and move on.
The very first episode I watched was Zecora's first apperance was Bridle Gossip. I was intrigued and a little amazed that a colored character(In a different species was used) I actually used that as my paper for college. I was then heavily dissapointed that this was her only major role in season 1, outside a brief end at Swarm of the century.
After that episode, it was first two episodes of season 1.
The introduction of Nightmare Moon was.... starkly the most, terrifying thing I could see in a kid show(updated from other shows like watership down and other 80s tropes) In a weird way, Nightmare Moon became a second subject for my course as well as the first character I enjoyed as a villian and as redeemed character. Zecora is always my first as a proper character.
After that, I watched the show on youtube, highlights and so on until the year end. I hadn't gotten into it yet, but... since I was writing on other websites way before like Sofurry(Then yiffstar) and fanfiction, I had been asked by others if I will tackle the show, mostly for the dragons that appeared(Spike, the red and green ones and so on). I hadn't really gotten into it but if dragons(Yes I was writing on dragons way before this show and long after) that I would tackle Spike and the others.
At first, there wasn't really much dragon in Spike(that is to say, not in traditional or in G1 style)_) but that Spike was low balled at first. Slowly he became better over time and I love that part.
Then I found fimfiction by looking up pony based webistes. The first being Equestria Daily and then fanficition and then here.
Then... when I wrote Nightmare year, I relized that this was a good webiste to join and try to improve my story process here.
(Ill write more in the next one for my time is short writing this.)
