Never thought I'd see the day, honestly. It's amazing how much better my life is now compared to a year ago.
Writing stories about self-harm has really helped grow my perspective on how to go about fighting my own issues with it, and today is proof of how far I've come. I remember not too long ago when I could barely make it a day or two without relapsing. Now I'm celebrating a year clean.
For all the people like me and Wally out there, things do get better. We just have to try, do our best every day, and one day our best will be good enough 🙏
Thanks for reading my silly angsty stories, y'all. This never would've happened without the support of all the friends I've made here.

I'm incredibly proud of you for this, and I hope you're equally proud of yourself. You deserve to be nurtured and supported by everypony (and that includes yourself).
I think I can relate in part—not physical self-harm, but something very similar—so I know what it's like to have a build-up of stress where you have an unhealthy release valve tempting you. It can be hard for me to be kind to myself even though I know I would never mistreat or speak ill of somepony else in the exact same situation. Learning to view myself that way has helped a lot.
I hope it becomes ever-easier over time, and I look forward to your two-year anniversary next March.
