As I write this, weak and weary...

Perhaps I'm biased... but DAMNIT... this is my friend!...
Despite everyone telling him not to, including those somewhat close to Russia, Putin did it anyway...
Disinformation campaigns, slander... (admittedly from US too) ... and now senseless death and destruction...
and my friend in Kyiv, Ukraine... someone I have enjoyed conversing, editing chapters for, and discussing fanfiction with for the last few years... his life... all of Ukraine, Russia... the lives that could be lost... that will be lost.
Well... Putin can't have it.
Ukraine has been growing. Reforms, Dreams, Ambitions... they are brilliant when they want to be. It is no wonder the US likes them so much.
And this time, it is not about the money, oil, or religion... this time, it is genuinely someone's freedom and right to choose.
This will hurt us a lot... already has... but these are lives, living and growing with every day that passes, are worth it.
There is so much potential, so much life... they need more time to grow.
It does not belong to Putin, they chose to be separate.
And now he says they are killing people that sided with Russia; when in fact those people, who were backed by the Russian government, were killing Ukrainians to take those regions in the first place. This bloodshed goes back far, and if Russia didn't give them reasons to want to become independent in the first place... well...
The US and Europe promised to protect Ukraine multiple times when they attempted to reform, including when Ukraine willingly gave its nukes up.
President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, sent a request to the Russian people to protest the war and end it.
Yes, the US did provoke more than a bit of panic with its cries, but we were not crying wolf. The bald Bastard did it... he attacked Ukraine and made a pretty speech to justify it...
