Greetings, everyone! This is Mr. J back with more The Owl House content! This afternoon, I will be reviewing the fifteenth episode of the show entitled: “Understanding Willow”. This is absolutely one of my favorite episodes in this season because it finally digs deep into Willow’s backstory and Amity’s backstory as well. What’s even more interesting is that both of these characters used to be friends at one time during their childhood until Amity’s parents forced her to stop being friends with her and chose for her “friends” that they thought were better—one of them being Boscha. This episode did a great job in giving both Amity and Willow depth of character, and it gives us insightful reasons as to why Amity always picked on Willow throughout the times they shared screen time earlier in the season.

I also liked how that the pictures they used contained all the memories Willow had when she was young, but once those pictures were reluctantly burned by Amity, it resulted in Willow’s memories being wiped out. Thus, we see the inner being and the inner thoughts Willow harbored...especially towards Amity.

This is why some parents who are that abusive towards their children shouldn’t be parents to begin with. Children should be allowed to choose whatever friend they like and be actually happy for who they are. This made me appreciate Willow a lot more than I previously did. Wherefore, Amity and Willow made amends although it would be quite a while until they can be fully friends again.

Great voice acting, awesome episode, solid writing, and fascinating character development indeed! This gets a strong A! Boy, going forward, we see things get more interesting and more enjoyable especially between Luz and Amity.

Peace!
