Before I say anything, let me just apologize for staying aloof these past months. I've got unanswered PM's and haven't touched Discord since last December. I've just been dealing with personal stuff and felt the need to detach from the internet to do it. I'm not angry at anyone and I'm not quitting anything. In fact, I actually feel pretty refreshed and feel like the break has done wonders for my mental state.
One big theme of the last couple months has been persuing my new interest in Pokémon further. I did write a story about Pokémon last year but more or less had to follow a comic to do it. I thought it was fine as rule 34 goes but wanted to it right the next time around and write my own story. To that end, I've played through to the endgame of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorer's of Darkness and started digging deeper into the fan material.
I'm going to present as advice that fan-made material, be it sexual or no, is much more valuable to draw on than canon material. In Pokémon's case, this canon is 20-years deep and most of it is human-centric. For an iron-bound feral furry aficionado such as myself, this makes approaching the franchise rather scary.
As it turns out, despite only being a side-game, PMD not only has an excellent content creator on YouTube but one which has existed for over a decade! Here's a link to their YT channel.
Setting aside the occasional use of Cal-Arts style cringe art in their videos, BRB is an excellent writer and artist. That they put so much effort in, even as the YT algorithm seems to have passed their channel by in recent years causing their views to fall from six digits into the 19-30k view range. With every passing video they get better. I don't know how to explain this to someone who doesn't write but being able to take a piece of media like Mystery Dungeon, unpack it, and try to explain it in the context of an actual universe is just absurdly hard and it's marvelous when you come across someone who can hack it.
It's largely because of this person that after 4 months of wondering how I can crossover Pokémon and MLP G4, I've finally figured it out.
As of a couple days ago, I've started work on the story. It will be my first of 2022. Tentatively named Equestria Mystery Dungeon, it aims to be the ONLY M-rated PMD/MLP crossover on fimfiction.net that's story-driven. Indeed, story-driven clop on this site with Pokémon might be entirely extinct.
This story probably won't be popular. Nobody is asking for a story like this. I'm not expecting it to break 100 likes, much less feature. For once, I'm going to forget the feature box exists and just write what I like and leave the clout-chasing for later in the year when it's not so dreary and cold out.
If anyone is curious and knows a thing or two about Weeb Monsters, the story will feature an Umbreon, Glaceon, Leafeon, and Espeon as main characters. The Glaceon will be the same one used in "Snow Cave" but there will not be any underage characters for this new story. Side characters will include the Flower Trio, Princess Cadance and the Mane Six. It will be written in third-person limited, mostly from the perspective of the Umbreon who leads a team of explorers. The perspective holder will shift to a different character for certain key chapters but always be one of the Pokémon characters. No idea how long the story will end up being but I'm going to finish it before I start posting chapters.
Firesight and Silentwoodfire have already volunteered their assistance and I'll be asking others for help soon who possess expert knowledge on Pokémon to hopefully keep me from making an ass of myself if they are willing to help.
And if Shakespearacles is reading this, you will be pleased to know that Eevee is not going to be lewded. The little butterscotch furball is going to be alright.

I was really excited about this until I got to that last paragraph. Everything must be lewded, no matter what a certain world's strongest writer might say.
Still looking forward to seeing this fic when it comes out, though. Definitely sounds interesting.

In principle, I agree. Though as lewding eevee is simply unnecessary to the plot, I see no reason to force it. Besides, I already made a lewd eevee for "Snow Cave".
That doesn't mean I'm not going to lewd certain other starter pokémon. Looking at you, vulpix.

Some people can handle a constant workload. I just can't hack it. I need long breaks, especially during the winter months. Me writing Dibs on My Sister in February was a freak occurrence.
