Hey all, just giving an update. My end of year break ended up dragging out a few more weeks. Why? Because i'm a lazy horse (admittedly). But i'm on track now. Only about halfway through the usual process (outline is done, just have to write the chapter now), but on it now so it will come along as time permits.
Kind of had poor timing with my break in terms of where we are with the story right now too. This portion of the plot within my major story outline has a lot of 'grey area' so to speak. Specific important things need to happen to set up some major themes, but exactly HOW we go about those things is what im currently dealing with. I've often discussed how my outline is a roadmap with all the major plot points, events, characters, details, etc all set in stone, but when it comes to making our way through these things, i fill in a lot of blanks with how i feel the best way to move the story between/towards them all. I'm currently smack in the middle of one of these parts and a normally slower (and admittedly not as fun) process was made even slower by my year end break landing in the middle of it as well.
But i finally kicked myself in my own ass (it was difficult, i don't recommend trying) I'm getting back into swing. Hopefully it wont be long.
