Emotionless dialogue? · 12:47am Jan 20th, 2022
A Russian reader (who I apparently upset quite a lot), left a comment about the character dialogues being dry and emotionless. I don't know if he was being serious or if he was just flaming me in the comment, but has anyone felt the dialogue in the T.U.P. series is dry or emotionless in any way? Please leave serious comments.
I didn’t feel the last chapter had a lack of emotional dialogue. In all honesty you did an excellent job.
5629301 I meant overall, like through the course of the entire story. Normally I wouldn't be too worried about a criticism, but this one seemed earnest so I am giving it due consideration.
I’d have to revisit some of the older chapters, but it may be a translation tone error? Mostly, I feel, for the English readers I’d say you have given enough emotional integration, but that also depends on the reader’s individual ability to utilize both imagination and empathy at the same time. At least that’s how I see it when I read, take the situation and combine it with what I see in my mind and my feelings at the time of reading. I’ll admit I was in tears many times during readings.

Then no. There is no feeling of emotionless dialogue. In fact I can feel an awful lot of emotion, more recently rage against these more militant humans. You’re writing and conveying emotion. I feel this recent commenter is likely a flamer.
I don’t feel the dialogue was emotionless at all. I’d say to keep up the good work at the pace you need to.
Personally I think you have been dojng amazing. I love your work!
As native russian i can say that dialogues are just fine.
