Better late than never? · 9:15am Jan 15th, 2022
Howdy y'all,
I think I'm a little late for a weekly blog type thing, lol. Where to begin? Hmmmm.... oh. Recently I met someone willing to put up with helping me edit my story, so far they've edited chapter 3 and 1 and are in the middle of editing 2. That's good. Great actually. I'm not one for realizing all the rules and what not when it comes to writing so its great to have help in that department, I guess this is an informal way of letting readers know about the overhaul of the story happening.
As for the story itself, currently I'm going nowhere fast with the current chapter. Luckily I have some time before I hit that bi weekly deadline. The problem im having is finding out how to word the scenes I'm imagining. I have the whole chapter in my head and I have a basic bullet point outline of the chapter written out but but elaboration is eluding me. I don't want to just shove a half baked chapter with scenes that aren't written out all the way and ask my editor to fix them, so I won't. I'll make the deadline come hell or high water though, count on it.
My work days have been shifted around recently and that's caused some problems with my schedule, specifically when it comes to chores and the like. Due to this I'm behind on laundry and groceries, but its not a big deal.
I've changed up the music I listen to when writing, I used to just play daft punk or jazz but lately I've been listening to mf doom and a playlist on spotify called '90's skate shop' it brings back memories. But I find myself lost in the music and unable to concentrate on writing when listening, yknow just the usual nostalgic daydreams of the past and sometimes future fluff scenes of my current unfinished story that are dozens of chapters away.
Speaking of real life, the graffiti scene where I live is in an awkward state currently. Old heads dying off and new peeps being few and far between, especially the ones that are trustworthy and aren't hot-headed fools looking for smoke. A spray shop opened up recently, allowing peeps to buy things offline and under the radar. I miss the old days where everywhere was filled with graffiti and art, the minimalistic architecture and generic company art promoting their newest business or products being plastered over the sides of buildings nowadays is disheartening.
I doubt anyone is reading this, but that's pretty much it for me currently. It's been a couple of days since I've contacted my editor at all, so I'm going to pm them and ask them how they're doing.
Sincerely,
Bug
