The KoLB Signing Chronicles, Part I: Thorax's Voice Actor, Kyle Rideout! · 12:45am Jan 9th, 2022

Today (via Zoom meeting) I met Kyle Rideout, Thorax's voice actor, during his VIP appearance at Vanhoover Pony Con in Canada. Moreover, because a friend of mine is on staff there, he was able to print a copy of my book and get Kyle to sign it. I'll update this blog with a photo once my friend has sent one to me. His name is Cloudz, though he has no distinct profile anywhere I can link.

I didn't ask Kyle to, but he read a passage aloud as Thorax. Nerd Mode: Engage.

Dear Twilight,
As always, you have really great ideas and feedback!
Since your last visit we’ve changed the hive around a bit. Think more flora and sunroofs. And my throne is actually made out of wood now. All the same, I'll definitely see if I can get it to retain magic.

Nicole Oliver (Celestia), Tara Strong (Twilight), and Bill Newton (Pharynx) are the other three I plan on tracking down for signatures. Thankfully, Nicole is slatted to be at BabsCon in April, and though Tara isn't, she's always loved fan conventions and shouldn't be hard to get a hold of. I will figure out Bill along the way.

Thank you, Cloudz. I have not had someone do something this awesome for me in a while. A huge thanks to him for this. I wasn't sure I'd be able to get Thorax's signature anytime soon, given that Kyle doesn't seem to go to conventions terribly often, and lately has enjoyed the local Canadian ones more.

Another Small Update: Lots of writing on the way!

I have two stories (and a lore blog) on the precipice of being published. One is just waiting on the finished cover art (I finally found an artist from my woes mentioned in a past blog), and the other simply needs more thorough editing. Expect both before February.
