Do murder mysteries have to be rated Mature on this site? Asking because I'm wondering if I can get more readers on Bloodhound if it was rated Teen instead. The only thing that might warrant the M rating are the bodies, which could be considered slightly graphic.
Sorry if it's a dumb question. Just wanted to ask for clarification.

I think teen rated would be fine with Bloodhound, but if you're really concerned you could PM a story approver. They're the best ones to go to with questions like this.

I'd PM the mods rather than story approvers. You can find all these folks here. And in general, unless your story is an utter gorefest described in detail, Teen rating + the appropriate warning tags should be enough.
You could have an E-rated murder mystery if you wanted a challenge.
I haven't read this story but if it isn't overly violent there's no reason not to make it T.

If you're competent enough to be on the autoapproval queue, I'd just go ahead and change the rating. Even the worst case would be a misunderstanding, but you'd be shocked by what I've published at T before. Unless the story is solid profanity, excessive grotesquery, or explicit sexual activity, you're fine.
