Here's to a Brand New Year! (Hopefully) · 10:38pm Dec 31st, 2021
Welp. 2021 Came and went unexpectedly quick. Seriously felt like summer didn't last that long. There's been plenty of ups as well as significant downsides. And, I have to say, it was a weird year for me. I almost started it off homeless, cut off a lot of harsh elements from my life, and even opened up to my dysfunctional family, but stuff that needed to be heard. Plus, I'm now a monkey's uncle! So that's exciting.
So before we close this chapter and head onto 2022, I want to talk about some stuff I've got planned for here.
As many know, Sharaz and I write a lot of stories together. I've spent almost all year on Everywhere and Nowhere, which is reaching its closing chapters (Hopefully by late February/early March). We've got some other plotlines for our growing cast of characters in the works. Though some people have expressed interest in a few details. Such as, what are Onoma's? What stories did these people first appear in? What do they look and sound like?
Well, I'm happy to announce that come 2022, I'll be posting TV Trope-style blogs that go into each character in our little perverted universe! This will include artwork, clips of audio, potentially theme music, and ongoing editing as more chapters/stories come out. So if anyone has tropes they feel fit, let me know!
I also want to go back to older stories and re-edit a few lines for consistency. The most significant outlier is Fire and Shadow (Where Oona doesn't have her accent until mid-story and Zeloph comes across more like an eldritch horror rather than a self-righteous fallen angel.)
Those are the only things in mind. I know I have some unfinished editing for other's stories to do, as well as an out-of-date story in Knight's Undoing, but honestly, a lot of stuff is outdated, and I've not been happy with the general expectation. See, I write stories not for clicks and views, believe it or not. I write because I like these characters, and I want to spin a story to fit them! And I can't do that on a site limited to a series I no longer follow or care for. There's a reason I chose the name 'Not a Pony Person.'
So 2022 will likely be the last year I do anything on FiM. I'm approaching my late 20's, and I have other venues I want to explore where my characters and ideas can thrive. (Potentially a comic staring Zell, Ana, and other Demi-Humans.) If anyone wants to remain in contact with me for whatever reason, I'm a lot more active on Discord nowadays. PM me if interested!
But I will say thanks to those who've enjoyed my stories, characters, and art. And a special thanks to Sharaz for making this year creative and a little more enjoyable during the bleaker parts.

Ah. So that's the meaning of Nota. Interesting. Also, comic? That sounds cool! I'm sad that you could leave FiM after 2022, but at the same time, seeing you do other stuff in other places sounds interesting!
Ironically I've become less active in Discord nowadays, but I'd be interested in friending you there!
And it's good that Sharaz has been there for you. You two are a great team!

Actually thinking about it I don't think they'd fit.
