1. What got you into mlp?

Dashie04
I was bored, and browsing TVTropes one day. I was looking through the comedy tropes and decided to just check out where MLP was in each of them, just because I thought it would be entertaining and pretty easy to laugh at. However, the show seemed actually pretty funny, so a few days later I was watching the Letupia725 uploads of the show, and I really enjoyed it actually. I haven’t left since.

2. Who is best pony and why?

Dashie04
While I have plenty of fan ponies I love a lot, Princess Jade from Fallout Equestria: Commonwealth and Velvet Remedy come to mind, my absolute favorite pony in the show is Rainbow Dash.

I love Rainbow Dash because of her unwavering face in the sense of danger. She is always rushing into danger to save her friends. In addition, I love her brashness. She’s also pretty comedic when she’s up on her cloud. Overall, her dedication to saving her friends makes her the type of pony I’d want to be.

3. What inspires you to write?

Dashie04
Generally, it’s sonder, or the feeling that you get when you realize that everyone around you is living a life as complex as yours. I write SoL stories a lot, and a lot of them are pretty much exactly what they say on the tin. They’re just a slice of somepony’s life, relying on human experiences to try and get the stories across. Mainly, I’m inspired to write those stories because I don’t see many people writing them.

In addition, hyper fixations usually drive me real hard to work on a novel idea I have.

Nailah
4. Alright, this one is harder but what advice might you give a new writer? One just staring out for the first time?

Dashie04
Write what you want to. If you have a particular type of story you want to see written, then you should write it. I’d also suggest trying to look around in your life for inspiration, and draw upon your own feelings to write those stories. The best stories are, more often then not, ones with a lot of feeling behind them.

5. Optional: Is there anything you'd like to tell us about the writer behind the pony?

Dashie04
I’m a MtF trans disaster with a lover in a completely different state. I generally spend most of my time just watching YouTube and I write at night.

Nailah
6. What is a story that has inspired you? It doesn't have to be MLP. And how has it inspired you?

Dashie04
There’s a few stories that have inspired me over the years. However, I really have one I keep coming back to. The story is Tangled Up in Blues, by The Descendant, on this site, which I have incessantly clung onto due to its music theme and the mentor/main character relationship in it. It might’ve been one of the reasons I love music so much, and why I write SoL. Seeing Tangled Up in Blues do it made me ask, “Why can’t I?” and the rest is history.

7. Let's turn the tables, if you could ask me a question just one. What would you want to ask?

Dashie04
Where’d you come up with your cute OC?

Nailah
Oh that's a long complicated story. But um, a long time ago, I was big into the whole tabeltop scene and I had to represent mlp because I was the only one at the table who watched the whole show. So I didn't want to just use canon characters in our tabletop rp, because I didn't know if that would/could get me sued, so I decided to make two sister Oc's, Snow Heart and Frost Heart. Snow Heart was always meant to be more like Celestia, whereas Frost Heart was like Luna. The bat thing I added years late when I was constantly working night shifts and felt I was a bat, and wanted to apply that to Snow Heart. Hence, Snow Heart became a baticorn.

Dashie04
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a baticorn before. It’s nice to see that the OC has a pretty unique design.

Nailah
8. Is there anything else you'd like to say?

Dashie04
Anybody who thinks they are feeling left out. I’ve felt that way for quite a while. Probably longer than some people reading this have been on the site. If you want more views, likes, or whatever on your story, all I can say is to keep grinding it out. Popularity usually isn’t immediate for most of us, and I cam only assume that if you started writing, you enjoy writing. So, keep at it, and you’ll eventually make it.
And until we meet again; be awesome.
