The Real Chapter 15 is Here! · 11:15am Dec 24th, 2021
Howdy y'all and Merry Christmas Eve. I have been busy grinding out this chapter to get it out as soon as possible. Sure it is going out at the same time a bunch of people are going to be traveling for the holidays and most folks will be reading holiday fics, but whatever! I didn't want to wait since this chapter was supposed to be here Wednesday. Special thanks to Zemez for doing a prereading for me when I was freaking out while writing in the Discord server. Very helpful in getting my head back on straight faster. If you haven't joined the Discord, I mildly recommend it. It's a good time half the time in Writing Chat. Fun Fact: it's the only Discord I have blocked people on rather than just leaving.

So you might have noticed I am using the commissioned artwork for the cover right now. I also changed the short description. I am trying to see if I can optimize to get a better click-through rate to hopefully attract new readers, kind of like how YouTubers change their thumbnails on their videos to see how people react. If there isn't much of a change over the next few updates, I'm going to go back to the actual cover art. I like it better for the cover than this one since the scene doesn't involve Vinyl Scratch in any way. If it gets more attention, I'll probably leave it that way until the fic is done and then switch back to the actual cover art on the last chapter. At that point, I won't be competing for front page attention, so I can be a bit more true to the work itself.
So again,I had written about 4 different endings for this and I didn't like where any of them were going because they were happening too early in the fic for my tastes. However, I got what I wanted to get done in the chapter, but I couldn't avoid a bit of drama happening between Fancy and Vinyl because of the reasons in the chapter. It is good, because it will help set up for what I want to do starting in the next chapter. If you haven't been able to tell, we're in what could be considered Act II if I was an author that broke things down like that, so we are getting into the thick of things with characters and their problems now that we are passed the Screech. Plenty more to come, and I will do my best to continue telling this story.
Sorry for the delay in this chaper. I will be releasing a quick fic next Wednesday to compensate since I know I won't be ready for Chapter 16 before then because I haven't started it writing it yet. Christmas is just another day here in Japan, so I'll have plenty of time to write now that I am on my winter break. Here's to catching up and not burning myself out during this yuletide off time.
