StarCraft Audio Reading · 11:01am Dec 22nd, 2021
Remember when I used to do audio readings? Well, I did another one, a full year after my last. It's not even slightly pony related this time though
So this time, I recorded a 1999 StarCraft short story titled Revelations, written by Chris Metzen. It was the first story in the StarCraft expanded universe, and was published in the Amazing Stories magazine. This has been out of print for a long time, but was transcribed onto the internet for preservation, and which I've now made available in audio form.
I may continue to do audio projects like this. It's a bit of a chore, but I enjoy them to a certain extent. Well... I have mixed feelings on doing them, and I don't think I'm exceptionally good at it, but like... I dunno, I might do at least the next StarCraft short story from Amazing Stories, which focuses on Kerrigan, my favorite character from that series.
As a note and a bit of a disclaimer, I'm not really thrilled with Blizzard these days and was hesitant to do something that associated me with them. I could probably rant for a while about the thought process that went into deciding to move ahead with this recording, but ultimately, I just want to say that no I do not support Blizzard's actions despite adoring their games. Something something no ethical consumption under capitalism.
Right, well, I've rambled enough. Check out the reading below if you're interested!
