Hi there. Happy to see you've thought to venture into my little corner of this vast fandom. Perhaps to have a look-see or for the funsies, whatever it is, glad to see you 'round.
The name's Misty. Yes, my initials are MS, not sure where the 'Z' came from, but it's there and a part of my username. I'm a full-fledged female (whatever that means) and I've been writing since the age of six when I learned how to put words coherently down on a piece of paper. I do it more as a hobby at the moment, but I do have dreams of one day publishing a full-fledged novel, or at least a children's story if I ever feel up to it. But as of right now, I'm still learning and growing as we all are.
I've been interested in the show since probably seven or eight. I only started getting into it a few years ago, when season nine was airing. I prefer the older seasons, (before Princess Twilight Sparkle) 'cause, well they were just a lot more refreshing and cute. Plus, there's a lot more of Aj X Dash shipping fuel in the earlier seasons.
If I say that I was immediately a massive fan, I'd be lying. It took me a good few episodes, one or two fanfics, and one adorable comic later for me to be up and ready to embrace the show. And it took me another whole year to muster up the courage to admit that fact to my family. Oh! Did I mention that I take massive pride in my reputation? Wouldn't say ego like Dash's, but a stubborn pride in everything I do.
Now as I said before, I'm a fan of Rainbow Dash, evidently. I'm also a huge AppleDash shipper- duh -an Applejack enthusiast, and an overall Apple lover. (Yes, including the fruit) After reading a pretty darned good fic on here, I was hooked on this little big paring. The duo had always appealed to me, and the fact that the story went against the regular lovey-dovey kind of romance for the two was mainly what caught my interest.
While I adore AppleDash, and some of the other Dash parings, there are those I just can't stand. The most prominent and important to mention is RariJack. I'm not a fan whatsoever. I've tried shipping it before, but it just ended with me back at Fall Weather Friends. Nothing against shippers, of course, simply the paring itself.
Now for something fun and less hateful. Stories. I adore writing stories that leave the reader thinking about what they just read, or with fulfillment in them. I write Dramatic stories, with a touch of Romance sprinkled in there for good measure, and I sometimes tend to dabble in Tragedies. I don't write Comedies, just 'cause I'd rather not mess it up. Slice-Of-Life is also very common for me.

These two are prime examples of my regular writing style. Stories I haven't tried much new in but did end up being pretty good.
There are stories I've done some testing in, like my Every Turn... where I tried adding some darker themes to it and Worthy To Be A Royal where I tried using first-person narrative to tell the story- something I'll try a bit more after that. Not to mention the fact that it was my first time finishing a fanfic.
