Still alive! Somehow. I uh, know it's been a while since I've updated anything, and I'm extremely sorry!
I kinda had a successive sequence of severe, temporarily crippling injuries to my ankle, hands, and back, and haven't been able to do much writing! I'm on the mend, and should hopefully(?) have something out soon!! I am incredibly sorry for the delay. Internal work has been proceeding apace for both Dark and Cultivation, and there's some big stuff coming! hooo boy you better believe there is, yessirs/ma'ams!!
I uh, am slightly delirious on painkillers, but figured you guys deserved to have an update!
I have the next few chapters for Dark plotted out in my head, and some BIG STUFF planned for Cultivation!
Oh, and, uh, the first bits of the first chapters of my other two fics, Chaos Incarnate and A Study In Timelines. But those will have to be put to proof and uploaded proper before I do anything with them! I need at least five chapters of both, which, uh, will take a while.
But yeah!! Expect something soon, hopefully?? I wanna try and update before the end of the year, but I can't promise anything specifically. Time will tell! :D

If writing is painful, have you tried speech-to-text? I didn't put much stock into it, but I was still able to write a story and most of another one using it while I was doing other things. I still had to sit still to edit and actually tape everything together, but it worked
Definitely takes getting used to, though.

Ahh, interesting idea! I might consider trying that, but speech to text tends to have trouble with australian accents in my experience
I'll see! My wrists aren't feeling too bad today, I'm considering trying to get at least something out. We'll see.

I'll let you in on a secret: they have trouble with California accents too open parentheses that sentence right there is proof enough close parentheses. If you have the cash to get one of those fancy ones, some of them can be trained to understand your voice better, but odds are you're only realistic options going to be to train yourself. (Again, look to the above paragraph, which was entirely StT except for this sentence)
In my case, that "Californian" accent means that I talk too fast, and drop syllables out of words. Like I said, it doesn't get you out of an editing pass (or, more likely, several), and I run into challenges with what commands will activate punctuation (which means I end up with paragraphs full of phrases like "open quote").
If you do give it a shot, I recommend editing as soon as possible while you remember what your actually meant.
