To be fair, we all sort of knew this was coming. My brother started dialysis about 2 years ago because he has kidney failure and, for reasons I won't go into here, he is simply not eligible for a transplant. You know, as an writer of stories where the relative sizes of characters is important, I often slap together reference images to help me. Without them it can be hard to visualize what is even possible in the story. They are also crucial when maintaining a consistent and realistic description of events and actions.

A story I planned out completely but have decided I'm not going to write. However, I did write... the final scene? The first scene? I don't know which it would be, but I wanted to share this anyway.

Didn't feel right to submit a "New" story that's going to have one chapter and be labelled cancelled right at the start. Yet it doesn't feel right having it in my Flash Fic Collection either. That "story" is just a dumping ground for quick story concepts that COULD be fleshed out into their own true stories, though I tried to make them at least work as is.

Oh well. Enjoy this bit of story and wonder what could have been.
