Five years.
Four months.
I...
I have no words...
So much has changed in this entire time. I've grown up since I last wrote on here. I serve my country in the Navy, I work on nuclear submarines, I'm...an adult.
My schedule is absolutely hectic, has been for months now. Nuke training is not a joke, nor will working in the fleet.
And yet...
If I don't do something that exercises my own hobbies every now and then I'm going to lose a very important part of myself. So I've decided.
I am going to rewrite my entire story of Chance of a Lifetime, perhaps make a new story instead of Costs of Survival. Quite frankly the latter is based on a wish-fulfillment premise, of a teenager me saving the world from an alien threat that very clearly never wanted to consume Equestria in the first place. That is not the story I want to make, and it's not the sort of lackluster premise you all deserve. You deserve something with thought behind it, a compelling antagonist, grounded reasons for everything that is done, and most of all fun.
As for TCoaL, it is a shaky premise as well. To put it bluntly it's riding the coattails of another story: Wildcard25's "Highschool Dragon". I recommend reading that for some more fluffy good times, but mine is involving a darker theme that the light-heartedness simply isn't fit for, nor do I have the confidence in myself to marry both tones together well.
Most of the overarching plot will remain the same, but with a significant overhaul in the characters, their interactions, and their development. Don't worry, Eragon and Sapphira will still be in there, just not FNaF (too childish, and I'm not into it anymore).
So yes, that's...goodness me, I suppose that's everything. I hope to see you again soon.
Thank you for spending a few minutes here, and thank you for understanding.
