  • TSuck it up, Buttercup
He marched through the wastes. He was also bright yellow, and had a tail that did not sway much. He was also named Buttercup, not exactly a manly name, but it was his. His friend needed him. What is that? It looks like him, but also very not...

    Write With

Not sure if folks know this is an option, but writing alongside me is also an option for my writing, if you want to work on a story at my side instead of just handing it off to me and having me do the words alone. Better if you want to keep a hand on the wheel directly, and it gives you immediate viewing of the work as we'd both be on the same document, plugging away at the story.

Post Mortem: Suck It Up, Buttercup · 2:43am Nov 24th, 2021

This story is completed, but a sequel is already added to my schedule of todos. I took Fallout and threw in some ponies. Fallout Equestria, this was not. I wasn't trying to explain 'and this is how Equestria exploded'. Instead, I asked, 'What if magic ponies in the wasteland?' in an otherwise human world. Stan and Giddyup's chemistry left me smiling through much of it. I could feel the solid connection between the two. Together, they plan to march into further troubles.

The titular Buttercup was an interesting case, being a somewhat clueless tribal way in over her head, but so very eager to do it right. Sometimes with mixed success? Was she fun to you, or annoying? Curious for feedback on her as a character.

Then there was Skyline. He was a patron's OC given to me. His backstory, thrown right out. It didn't fit in Fallout, so I ignored it, but tried to be true to the character in the world he was existing it. I'm told I did a decent job, but I am still curious what you think of that pony.

Ending with Fallout epilogues amused me, like it?

Here's to the next season of this show! Looking forward to some feedback.:twilightsmile:

"This story is completed, but a sequel is already added to my schedule of todos."
Ah, thanks! :D

"Was she fun to you, or annoying? Curious for feedback on her as a character."
Well, I don't remember finding her annoying. :)

Ahh. That explains why he was so different from the others, physically. Well, you pulled it off pretty well, I think, yes, and he didn't strike me as too out of place. An in-universe mystery rather than a jarring piece of a story setting.
Though, that said, now I'm thinking on this more, and on that bit at the end... and wondering if he's really the only bat pony and/or cyborg... or just the only one from Stable 2.
...And checking that scene again, I'm not seeing, at least in this quick check, anything about the tribes of these mysterious other ponies...
Well, sounds like we'll see. :D

"Ending with Fallout epilogues amused me, like it?"
Yes, if you'd not already guessed from my comment on the chapter. :D
