I'm glad to say I was wrong (and during the past few days I was only growing more and more convinced they're going to throw him under the bus

As Bendy said, all the videos have been out there since day one, and the entire trial is on YouTube (they were transmitting it live). If you want, you can see it all for yourself.
Suffice it to say that any reasonable person with half a brain who has seen the videos knows that the kid should have never been locked up, put on trial, and dragged through the cogs of the justice system...
I honestly thought they were gonna convict him just to make a point, but thankfully I was wrong, and it ended today with 'NOT GUILTY' on all counts

That's what I call justice, and I'm VERY pleased at the moment. Moments such as this give me hope and make life worth living

Thank you, I'm certainly not going to go out in any of this so not many worries there. I hope that the various "community barbeque"s being planned don't have anyone crossing state lines to get them; that's apparently a major offense now.

People weren’t too concerned about those “community barbecue” attendees crossing states lines, I’m glad to see they’re taking it a little more seriously now.
