Ponies and other Equestrians do actually have modesty taboos and any pony with a profession that requires frequent bipedal movement tends to wear pants. On that note Ponies and most Equestrian sapients only have short fuzzy coats except a couple strategic places where it is a little longer leaving most of their colored skin visible.
Given their sometimes bipedal nature ponies tend to use humanoid terms and treat "hooves" and "hands" as synonymous terms. This of course means the forelimbs are referred to as arms while the term "legs" only refers to the hind limbs unless there is specification given. This also means they use the term "feet" to refer to their rear set of hooves.
Ponies can stand on only a single leg about as easily as a human can if they are used to being bipedal.
Ponies in mixed species groups use species-neutral terms. Also "handy" is not replaced by "hoofi" in everyday language with the specific exception of "manicure" becoming "hooficure" or stuff like "handmade" becoming "hoofmade".
Ponies have a very slight female bent in their population but not enough of one where herds are required or the norm. They do occassionally happen and are legal but generally ponies and other Equestrians are monogamous.
On that note ponies and most other Equestrians fertility acts on a lunar month schedule with a minor yearly schedule effect added. They don't ever really go into heat.
As a parallel Earth in a sense their time system mirrors our own just with different year numbers and eras.
While ponies have some control over the weather systems and summer->fall and winter-> spring transition and Winter Wrap-up is on the Spring Equinox if left alone those systems, unlike the day/night cycle, will run by themselves. The Running of the Leaves does not actually usually get every leaf and Winter Wrap-up does not actually melt the snow, just clears it and is the day no more manufactured snow falls. Ponies do not control the outdoor temperature. The fact Celestia and Luna have to mess with the sun and moon is Discord's fault and he could fix them.
