25th Birthday Disaster (Rant) · 2:11am Nov 16th, 2021
Hey everyone.
So, my 25th birthday was recent (I won't give an exact date for privacy reasons), and before, during, and after that time, everything has been going wrong in my life. A grade I receive on an essay is not quite up to my personal par, despite how much effort I put into it. My performance review at work a little earlier was less than favorable (below expectation; I have a good track record, so my job's not in jeopardy, but still). I end up stuck in traffic for HOURS after leaving school one night to get home, over a fire near the interstate I take. However, what happened yesterday resulted in something that is the first of its kind for me: possibly losing money on my birthday over something trivial but necessary.
As I was driving to work, a car about sixty feet (twenty meters for you Metric users) in front of me somehow managed to fling a rock off its back tire straight into my windshield, resulting in a small crack... right on the edge of the pane. I mean, MAYBE it could have been salvaged, but by the end of today, it grew exponentially, halfway down the windshield. So yeah... my windshield is going to need a replacement. My parents think that our insurance won't cover the replacement, meaning I may have to pay out-of-pocket for it. The full cost won't break the bank for me, but just think about it... having to cough up a couple hundred dollars to repair your only vehicle, within a week of your birthday. (I was also setting aside money for months in the hope of buying an HTC Vive headset; yeah, I know I'm late to the VR scene).
In any case, I can only hope I can try to file a claim anyway, to see whether or not our insurance will cover it. It could be my parents haven't looked at my policy in great detail, but one can never be too sure.
Yeah... I just needed to let it out. I don't mean to bring anyone else down with me, but with my parents appearing to get fed up with my angst, I just felt like I needed to let someone else know what I'm going though. My 25th birthday was, needless to say, nothing short of a disaster. The lackluster "celebration," which was really just eating out at a restaurant, and having cake at home, was nothing to write home about, but everything else going on... yeah, I'm just frustrated. I'm sorry. I just hope something happens that can make up for it. I really hope my next birthday can be better.
So, thanks for listening... if you were willing to stomach my ranting. I won't be surprised if people are turned off to me by this, though. I'll write an update on the present matter of getting my car fixed after all's said and done.

Sorry to hear that but i stay with you. Hope you could at least enjoy your birthday somewhat.
And...Look on the bright side, could have gone worse.
