Been a few years, as it seems my interest is staying for now, I'll stick around. I've been writing for almost ten years now, with a specialty in Adventure/thriller.

    Hiatus status on the Godking

So I haven't posted something for about two weeks on the story. That's mainly because I've been focusing on other projects while I quickly finish up repairing an unfortunate error with my Setting book. Three pages went missing, as the entire thing is electronic, and I didn't have backups, so I'm having to retype them all over again. Might have to push back to January, as this is taking a little

James held the jacket's collar up to his nose. The snow was falling quite heavily, but he couldn't go home until the job was done. The lookout finally signaled him with a hand mirror and a laser pointer. He rubbed his hands together as he began walking towards the convenience store.

James Delevare was a thief, plain and simple, and he'd been doing this for four years now. He didn't do this because he needed what he stole, he actually started this profession off of a stupid high school dare to steal a pair of panties from the mall.

The door clicked open as they had already made a copy of the key, turns out convenience stores don't pay their young employees all that well, and as he said, they didn't do this for money.

The owner was really cheap, as they didn't even have an alarm system. Not even a silent one, they checked. in ten minutes he had grabbed the small amount of money in the till, a large slushie, several bags of chips, and an overpriced half-sandwich.

he didn't notice it until it was too late, his lookout was doing a figure eight with his laser pointer, the sign of the cops. There was only one reason they'd be here already, the kid they bribed snitched. He'd pay the kid back later, but in the meantime he dropped his armful of stolen snackfoods, his heart ached as the slushie spilled all over the ground as he booked it across the road.

Apparently, haste makes waste, or in this case, he got wasted as he didn't notice the cop car rushing down the road with it's sirens on. He barely felt the sickening crunch as he went topping over the car, his jar smashing into its light bar, and finally as he crumpled to the pavement.

"Nice job asshole, Police brutality, am I right?" he said, or tried to say, all he heard was some sort of gurgle and a spray of red, the pretty crimson danced through the air. Following in its trail were sparkly rainbow flickering lights, and he tried to follow them all at once. It then hit his oxygen-deprived brain, he was suffocating. that crimson was his blood, and the sparkly lights were his optic nerves signaling their lack of oxygen.

He wondered if cops called the cops. He heard a faint voice calling out from beside him, he just chuckled like the voice had said an amusing joke. Apparently, his throat didn't like that, because more crimson water leaked out the sides of his mouth.

And then suddenly, he wasn't in the middle of the road outside the gas station on Fourths Avenue, choking on his own blood and asphyxiating, but he was suddenly in darkness, Sitting on an invisible chair... or perhaps the chair was in his head? cause it didn't actually feel like he was sitting, but it felt like he was.

Welcome to Equis, home to many different races. You have been selected as the Dragonlord, please confirm or deny, Y/N

He chuckled, this was probably a last-ditch hallucination from his oxygen-starved brain. But Dragonlord, he liked that, Dragons were greedy, and got what they wanted until the hero slew them in a glorious battle that would be told for ages. He could already see some parallels, as while it wouldn't be for ages, For a few days he'd be known widely as the thief who got ran over by a cop.

He pressed his finger against the Y, his world somehow went darker than he thought was possible as the screen went away, almost like it was no longer the absence of light, but the absence of anything. Then the screen popped up once more.

Your task is to bring your civilization to glory via the system. Enjoy your reign.

he then fell, infinitely into darkness. And he then dismissed the idea of this being a hallucination, because James had just hatched.

So, if you enjoyed that, This isn't just a story idea, this isn't just here to show a project idea I've thought up of, this is a call to action.

Gamelit, or Game literature is a genre that's becoming quite popular, and I had thought, why not set a story of Gamelit in the post-unification era of Equestria. Then I had a bolder idea, I wanted to do something I hadn't wanted to do since Season 4 was still on hiatus. I want to create a Universe.. I'm still trying to figure out the math, as spending DP and earning DP can become quite exploitive if I do it wrong, but I want other writers, old blood, new blood, I don't care, I want you to join me, Make your own rulers, and see where this road takes us, whether it will end in total war, or utter peace.

This'll require heavy communication on all parts, so if you're interested, PM me. For those of my readers of 'The Godking Is NOT Amused', this will in no way impact my writing on that front.
